The comments on Pakistani media pages under any post regarding Feroze are so so sad!

Facebook has more pathetic comment than Twitter. Twitter looks little bit sane than fb commentsAnd Irony is most of the fangirling comments coming from outside of Pakistan. 🤪

Glad Aamina finally believes Alizah and has ‘denounced’ Feroze. However her spiel about ‘I’m not a fake feminist’, ‘this isn’t the Feroze I was friends with’, is ridiculous.

Feroze was openly misogynistic. The things he said in his interviews clearly displayed his backward anti-female mindset. Aamina isn’t an idiot that she she wouldn’t have understood all the crap he said about women in his interviews, and despite this she remained his friend.

If any other male actor said or did any of the following Aamina would have called them out years ago:

(1) The characters I play aren’t toxic, they like passion play. It’s the same as 50 shades of Grey. There’s nothing wrong with it.

(2) It is a Sunnah for men to get married more than once. Men must do this to fulfill the Sunnah. By the way for those unaware, this statement of his was completely wrong religiously - as usual he was just trying to use religion to justify his own toxic mindset.

(3) Standing up for Amir Liaqat and claiming he was a victim. Going on to say that if a female was in his position the ‘aurat march’ would have gone crazy demanding justice.

(4) Speaking against the aurat march in general. Which means he was speaking against women marching for their rights.

(5) Abused his ex-girlfriend (Sajal Aly). This was clearly known in the industry.

How, as a feminist, we’re you friends with a man guilty of all of the above?

Also, she keeps saying ‘it’s easy to prove domestic violence’. No. In a country like Pakistan it is not. It’s really lucky that Alizah had photographic evidence. Thousands of women who are beaten black and blue, do not have photographic evidence. If we follow Amina’s logic all these women who weren’t able to keep record of the abuse they suffered are liars. Again, how is this woman a feminist?!

Hania should speak up but why does it seem like it’s only women people are asking to speak up? I’m seeing mahira and Hania getting called out but Humayun saeed who’s producing his current drama isn’t being called out , neither is imran Ashraf who’s the second male road of the drama Iqra pulled out from. Even in moments like this people seem to still find time to drag women harder

I am glad she had kept proofs of the abuse. Otherwise lot of people wud have spoken against her and said she’s doing it for publicity. If u look at the dates it’s from 2020. I think she wanted to leave 2 years back but family pressure and he wud have convinced he will change or maybe there was no proof to prove what happened to her. So she thought of keeping it for future in case she decides to leave again. Cos they were rumours of their separation so there might be some truth to it.
lot of women silently bear this abuse till death. Glad things r changing and people r coming out. I hope she gets justice

As for Feroze the way case is going and the accusations he’s making like she’s mentally not stable and to give him custody cos she’s not financially independent clearly shows what a bully he is. He’s clearly trying to win the case by saying such false things abt her. Maybe thinks once she looses the kids custody she will bend in front of him. Even if she’s not financially independent he shud be the one who shud provide fir his kids. I haven’t watchiwd a lot of his dramas I remember watching him in Gul e Rana and now in habs and he was really good in habs. It’s shocking to hear such things abt him. I have watched only few interview of his where he spoke fondly of alize and remember iqra saying he pampered her a lot. Guess we can never judge a book by it’s cover. Strength to aliza and her family and hope they win it soon cos court cases can go for a really long time

They had issues going on since 2 years i cant believe ppl r still thinking shes doing this to defame him. Feroze never ttook her out in public, infact he mostly used to go out alone leaving her behind with kids. And was all chummy chummy with Ushna and Hania itna hi pious tha to kyu shaadi shuda ho ke bhi giving hugs to girls. He is very arrogant and only Allah can now put him back in his place.

Also that explanation Hasan gave on the use of the word ‘allegedly’ was wrong.

Yes, it is true that when a case is ongoing, in most instances, legally you cannot say the accused is guilty. Hence you use ‘allegedly’ to cover yourself from being hit with a defamation charge. So, yes they were right to say ‘allegedly’.

However that example Hasan gave saying if a man murders someone in broad daylight in front of witnesses, until the court makes a decision you have to say ‘allegedly’ is wrong. If something like this happens even journalists don’t bother with ‘allegedly’, because there is no reasonable doubt that the perpetrator committed the crime. In a circumstance such as this the court will not be deciding if the accused did the crime (because they already know he did). Instead the court will be deciding the motive, and the length of the sentence.

I don’t think people should be calling out any celebrities for keeping quiet, unless the celebrity has made speaking out against issues such as this a part of their image and brand.

To my knowledge, Hania, Ayeza, Yumna, Bilal, Humayun, Imran, etc. don’t normally make public statements about social issues so no one should expect them to start making statements now.

However I do have an issue with celebrities who use social issues for a bit of cheap publicity. These celebrities make a ‘badass’ statement against the patriarchy so they can sit back and watch the likes roll in but will keep quiet if the issue is a bit too close to home or too risky to speak out on. For instance, Mahira keeping quiet is a bit dodgy.

I’ll be honest, the only celebrity from the industry that seems sincere and consistent when he speaks on social issues is Osman Khalid Bhatt.

Hania spoke out against Mohsin so I get people wanting her to speak out against Feroze too. She’s also still following him which is shady, if not speak up then at least unfollow , that’s the bare minimum.

mahira Stans are saying she’s taking a social media break because of the trolling she got for her Punjabi accent in the legend of maula jatt.

And yeah I agree this is a sensitive matter and people shouldn’t be pressured to speak but social justice warriors on twitter only seem to holding the ladies feet to the fire. Powerful men like Fahad and Humayun aren’t being held to these standards.
