CONGRATULATIONS
Paul Stirling's stellar performance won them this match!
Paul inning and great bowling too by Ireland.
Incredible! Ireland, who failed to get past the first round in their last five T20 WC outings, have not only made it to the Super 12s but have also knocked the two-time champions out of the competition. Fantastic all-round performance. The bowlers bowled stuck to their plans and the fielders backed it up in the field to restrict West Indies to a < 150 score on a pretty good batting track. Delany starred with a three-fer and all the other bowlers, except Campher, were economical as well. Yes, the target of 147 was clearly below-par and Ireland made a mockery of it.
The two experienced openers, who didn't fire in the first two games, got their team off to a flier. It was carnage from both ends as both Stirling and Balbirnie hit boundaries for fun and brought the asking rate under 6 RPO inside the powerplay. Akeal Hosein broke the opening partnership in the eighth over by removing the Ireland captain but that barely had an effect on Ireland. Tucker joined Stirling and the duo kept the momentum going. West Indies looked clueless as it was a clinical chase from Ireland. The veteran - Stirling - notched up his 21st T20I half-century and remained unbeaten till the end as he along with Tucker took their team home with 15 balls to spare.
i managed to watch only the last over today
and wth west indies eliminated đ˛đ˛
happy for ireland they played really good cricket lately
Now the last match of the Qualifiers round---
Scotland vs Zimbabwe, 12th Match, Group B

Both teams have experienced a similar fate in the ongoing tournament so far. Scotland punched above their weight and outclassed the two-time T 20 World champions!! .
However, they failed to keep their winning momentum intact against Ireland as they lost their second game against the Andy Balbirnie-led side by six wickets. However, thanks to their best net run rate in Group B, they are placed at the top of the leaderboard.
Speaking of Zimbabwe, they won their opening match against Ireland before faltering against West Indies in their next match. Chasing the victory target of 155 runs, they crumbled out for 122 runs in 18.2 overs. Currently, they are placed at the second position on the points table of Group B.
This is going to be a crucial match from the Super-12âs qualification point of view and both teams will look to bring their best against one another. With two valuable points up for grabs, expect both teams to field their strongest combination in what should be a mouth-watering contest in Hobart.
Final warm up match is coming up soon.
The good thing we still don't know who will be placed in which group yet.
Cheers..
Gareth Delany, POTM: Incredible day for us, to get over the line in the fashion we did was amazing. Nathan Hauritz came up with the plan to keep it simple and be defensive, knowing they would come hard. Personally it's a dream come true, delighted. Campher's knock the other day gave us a chance and now we're through. Look forward to the next few weeks.
the way wi got eliminated in qualifiers round
now i think about it
in prev years bd never played too bad in qualifiers
because all the qualifiers they played they managed to qualify to super12 somehow even if they did lose a game there
but because of their immense fanbase they have to play much better varna their condition will be like sumbul from bb16 đ (popular contestant but plays the game bad)
The surface at Adelaide has been a pretty decent one for batting. The quick bowlers need to keep their line and lengths under check to control the flow of runs. Since the pitch at Adelaide offers a good record of the team batting first, whoever wins the toss will look to bat first.
