I absolutely agree with the fact that Basit’s insecurities in turn flamed Ayesha’s insecurities. We saw a glimpse of those insecurities when Ayesha called herself “mamooli si ladki” and wondered why was someone like Basit interested in marrying her. But then Basit in keeping his distance from Ayesha made her feel worthless in his life. However, throwing her out of the house the way he did was the final nail in the coffin. The fact that he was ready to divorce her so easily must have played on Ayesha’s mind a lot.

When Ayesha told Basit that he never listens to her, I was like girl, he does!! We have seen that whenever Ayesha tells Basit something, it plays on his mind and he even modifies some of his actions based on her opinion, especially when he was ready to talk to Sadia on the morning that she died. Another scene comes to my mind is just after the raised hand scene, when Basit walks into his home and quietly stands with Ayesha’s words playing on his mind. I think secretly Basit has always craved the emotional touch and softness in his life which Ayesha brings.

So true about their office scenes. They were intense 🥰 In fact, I often felt their chemistry even when there was nothing going on. Would love to see more office romance!

Exactly!!! She had entered into the marriage thinking she was completely ordinary and totally not of Basit's standard. He had told her before the marriage that she was very special in his eyes but his actions post -marriage broke whatever little confidence Ayesha had. When she had gone to the office after their nikah, she had the confidence to tell Basit that did you not say I was special to you because of the way I handle my relations. But then his actions broke that confidence too. And since then she had only been immersed in trying to make herself into the wife she thought Basit wants. And it took her months and then the separation before she shouted out how she felt about Basit's reasons for marrying her in that last argument that they had.

And so true about the small things that Ayesha tells him that Basit pays such close attention to. Also the comfort he derives from her. That time when he got angry at Sadia for giving Karim a few days off and he was leaving with this huge frown on his face but when Ayesha came to him to give him the wallet, his frown cleared up. His brows straightened and while he didn't smile, by the time he was at office, we see he had forgotten all about his quarrel with Sadia and rather was busy thinking about Ayesha. But for him too it took a separation and a near-death experience, to openly show Ayesha that he wanted to listen to her...that "Aur kaho" gave me goosebumps.

And girl, please you and Feroze_addict need to write that office romance story! Seriously those early episodes of Habs are such favourites of mine!

Okay so I was wondering that we’ve seen Basit’s birthday but not Ayesha’s. Do you think we’ll get to see her birthday on the show? We saw Ayesha planning that surprise party with Sadia. What do you think Basit would do to make it special? Does he even know when is her birthday? I think Bano would be very helpful in this regard.

Maybe there will be Ayesha's birthday and the entire family will come together for it. One of the last shoots was all of them decked up for something. Perhaps it was Basit's big surprise for Ayesha. He would ask Bano for tips perhaps but hopefully he will actually take the trouble of getting the party organised.

Girl seriously I had been waiting for this scene since the day the OST was released!

The way they look at each other and then Basit reaches for her hand! I just hope this will happen in the next episode and not get pushed forward to ep 26.

Btw I was watching that scene where Ayesha brought him the perfume and the shirt and frankly speaking Ayesha’s fears and hesitation regarding her marriage seem well founded. Basit’s attitude was almost callous towards her during these days. Whereas she seemed so hopeful. Basit could have simply said a thank you and chose to wear the shirts if and when he felt like it like any other person would do but the guy had to go ahead and say stuff like I don’t like “gehre rang and gehre rishte” and that you don’t need to do this.

Yessssss! I do hope they haven't cut this scene then! This has been we have wanted to see for so long!

And yesss...very true about Ayesha's present fears and hesitation being well founded. But for Basit I think his callousness at the time came from the fact that he was in his heart still in denial over his marriage. But his heart changed in that split second when he walked in after dinner and saw her at the laptop. That was the moment when he accepted in his heart the fact that this was his wife, I feel. Since then he became more ready to listen to her...beginning with the bedroom scene in ep 13, the slight pat on her shoulder after he gives her the money and then leaves for work, his expressions when he takes the wallet from her... but it is an ongoing process and it develops slowly this breaking the habit of being callous and so when he is not around her, he acts as if she doesn't affect him in anyway. So he gives Fahad's dinner invite the skip. He takes Ayesha for granted since she is already his wife. And so we have the situation where Ayesha is clearly making a whole lot more of an effort to carry forth the marriage.
