Thank you! 😛 Manya was walking in the park around evening time. She was near the lake, strolling around, hugging herself in the chilly weather. A voice from behind her spoke.
"Mera peecha kerne mein tumhe maza aata hai kya?"
Manya turned to the voice and recognized Akash.
M: Tum!
He was standing against a tree.
A: Haan, main. Itna gabrane ki zarurat nahin hai. I'm not a rapist.
Manya rolled her eyes.
M: Of course not. You're my
hero.
Akash laughed.
A: Don't flatter me! Main abhi tak yeh nahin bhoola, that you're from Jai Shree, jinko hum beat karte aye hain.
M: Two games that we lost, Akash. Apne aap per itna bhi barosa muth rakho. Jai Shree is better than AD, anyplace, anywhere!
Akash stood up straight, his hands in his pockets. He looked so cute under the moonlight, dressed all in blue.
A: Anyplace, anywhere?
M: ANYTIME.
Akash nodded in approval.
A: Okay, then. Come on.
Manya looked at him, confused.
M: Kahan?
Akash grinned.
A: Anytime, anyplace, anywhere, right? Tho abhi dekhte hain. AD vs. Jai Shree. Or better yet, AKASH VS. MANYA.
Manya raised her eyebrows.
M: In basketball?
A: Nahin, nahin, mujhe woh skirt dho, pompoms dho and we'll both CHEER!
He raised his hands teasingly in a girly style at the word "Cheer." Manya cracked up.
M: Ohh pleaase!
A: Come on! Darr gayee? Jai Shree per barosa nahin hai? Yaan...khud per nahin hai?
Manya smiled.
M: You're so on!
They jogged to the basketball court in the park and Akash grabbed a ball out from a cart.
A: Ready?
M: As always!
Akash threw the ball at her, and she dribbled past him. He raced after her, trying to block her from the hoop.
Just as Akash was near the ball, Manya blew him a kiss. He stopped, surprised, and Manya raced to the hoop and threw the ball in.
A: CHEATERR!
Manya laughed.
M: Tum ruk gaye, tho main kya karun?
Akash nodded his head.
A: Okay, fine. You're on!
Manya dribbled the ball, running past him. Her shirt scooted up a bit, showing her waist. Akash smiled naughtily and suddenly waved his hand softly over her waist.
She jumped up, startled, dropping the ball. Akash grabbed the ball and threw it in the hoop.
M: Noo fair!
A: All's fair in love and war, sweetheart.
Manya looked at him when he said the word "love." He laughed it off and walked away.
They started playing again. Just as Manya was about to get the ball in the hoop, her foot slipped. Akash was inches behind her, and he reached out his arms quickly.
She fell into his arms, making him topple backwards. He fell down, and she landed ontop of him.
M: Ouch!
She raised her head and stared at Akash, who looked back. The music of PKEK played as they stared at each other. Akash suddenly grinned.
A: Aaj ki raat...hona hai kya...
Manya's cheeks flushed as she scrambled to her feet nervously. Akash laughed and stood up.
A: Manya, tumhara iraada kya hai?
M: WHAT?
Akash narrowed his eyes teasingly.
A: Maana maine tumhari izat bachai, but please, kahin meri izat per hi...
Manya rolled her eyes.
M: Oh, yes, Akash. Jai Shree vs. AD ka izat lootne vaala match sabse hit hoga.
A: Yeah, right?
Manya threw the ball at him, laughing. He grabbed it and laughed too.
Suddenly, lightning from the sky struck. Rain started off with a drizzle and turned into heavy rain.
M: Oh, no!
She raced under a rooftop of a shed located in the park. But Akash stood in the rain, his arms open wide.
M: Akash! Are you insane?
A: Come on! Live a little! Oopar vaale ne yeh barsaat dhi, aur tum ho ki....
M: AD ke sab hi pagal hain yaan tum koi special ho?
Akash looked at her, squinting in the rain.
A: Unka tho nahin patha, but you must be lucky ki tum yahan iss AD vaale ke saath ho. I tell you, Jai Shree ki tho kismat khul gayee!
Manya rolled her eyes.
M: OH PLEASEE!
A: WhaT? Come on! I dare you!
M: Noo!
A: Apne college ke liye! AD ka challenge hai yeh, Manya!
Manya shook her head.
M: Noo!
A: Okay! JAI SHREE LOST!
M: WHAT? NO WAY!
A: Okay, then! Aao na!
He reached his hand out to Manya. The PKEK music played again as Manya looked at his hand. She reluctantly placed her hand in it, and he grinned. He pulled her out in the rain.
M: Ohh...!
The rain soaked every inch of her body. He laughed and spun her around. Manya laughed.
A: Come on! Titanic!
Laughing, they opened their arms wide and stood under the rain. Their arms were outstretched.
Aao suna, pyar ki ek kahani....
Ek tha ladka, Ek thi ladki deewani... Manya looked back at Akash and Akash looked at her. A slow smile was spread across both of their mouths'.
Woh bhi hasne lagi thi,
Yeh bhi hasne laga tha...
Dhone samje nahin thay...
Woh jo hone laga tha... The falling rain turned back into a drizzle, falling on them lightly. Manya looked around and realized where they were.
M: Oh...woh, mujhe ghar jaana hai.
A: Oh, yeah....um...I'll drop you.
M: No, its fine...main car layee hoon.
Akash watched her go. He stared at her, his heart suddenly racing a bit. Manya turned back and looked at him, her heart beating faster and faster.
A: Aye, Ms. Attitude!
Manya raised her eyebrows.
A: Kal ek mela hai. Cultural festival.
M: Haan, I know. Meri dost ussai organize ker rahi hai.
Akash smiled mischieviously.
A: Arahi ho?
Manya crossed her arms.
M: Kyun?
A: Nain, woh...hamara match abhi incomplete hai na. Kisi aur game mein AD ko jitha dhoon ga.
Manya laughed.
M: You're on, Akash Rathod!
As she sat in her car and drove away, smiling, Akash grinned.
A: I'll be waiting, Ms. Attitude...
