BB ki puraani buri aadat hain. They kill certain games while protecting and pushing others. So unnecessary - give everyone the chance to play, or expose everyone if that’s what you’re going to do.
They did it to Vishal last season - completely opened and destroyed his game. This time it’s Shaleen. While they’re protecting others’ games, and pushing the non interested ones like Ankit.

And here I was, more interested in seeing what Shaleen does because it looked like he'll either land himself up in soup or play some good strokes. But BB ko kisi jagah chain nahi, ullu kahin ka. -.-

About Ankit and Priyanka though, jaisi bhi ho bas inn dono ki hi equation ghar mein genuine lagti hain. At one point, in that bedroom conversation they were having, Ankit looked so pained as if he couldn't decide whether to grab Priyanka's face and kiss her or go bang his head on a wall. I feel he too has dabi, dabi feelings for her while she clearly is invested in him as more than a good friend.
On a serious note, I feel Ankit is not ready for commitment. He sort of hinted towards it. And maybe this is why they had some fight or something but for this show they had to come together. Priyanka was saying something ke show ke baad they are done. Baki adhi bate i couldn't hear lol
