Target for Bangladesh is 160
Bangladesh have pulled things back towards the backend of the innings. India were cruising at 91/0 around the halfway mark but once the opening partnership was broken they lost a bit of momentum. Jemimah kept the scoreboard moving and ensured the total reaches the 160-mark. At the start, Smriti and Shafali showed a lot of intent; using their feet and playing a lot of aerial shots in the powerplay. The stand-in skipper missed out on her fifty but not her partner. Bangladesh's leg-spinners were the key in restricting the scoring rate and Rumana was the pick of them. This is a decent total and Bangladesh will need a special effort from their batters to pull this off. Back soon with the chase..
India captain Mandhana had said during the toss that they'd be targeting a 140-plus score. India have done very well to get to that, thanks to the wonderful 96-run opening stand between Mandhana and Shafali. After that ended in a run-out, India did lose a bit of momentum. Bangladesh fought to pull things back and the last 10 overs fetched just 68 runs. But in-form Jemimah injected back some life into India's innings with a 24-ball 35 to take India to what is seemingly an above-par score. Rumana was the pick of the bowlers, as she added three more to get her tournament wicket tally to eight. Who'll get those two points today? My colleague Suds will take you through the chase.
