By the way, are Danish and Sayli doing any work beyond Sony, HR and the concerts? I don't follow them on a regular basis, but I don't remember seeing too much about their work. From the Top 6 (or even extending to include Ashish, Anushka, Sireesha), these two seem to be lagging behind others in terms of discography. Is that right?

Pawandeep interview in Kolkata. Interesting as she is asking questions in Bengali and he is answering in Hindi.

He seems to understand the language pretty well already 😀

Finally caught up with this over a coffee break 😂

This is the same lady who had interviewed during the previous Kolkata trip. She starts by making a reference to that - saying that I have interviewed him earlier but this is the first time he is without Arunita, so I am going to take the interview in Bangla and see if he is able to handle it without help 😂

I think most of the questions were easy for him because he could just go by keywords like journey, composer or singer, instruments, and so on. But the two questions about which song is in your mind and can you sing it, and did you learn the Duitara from Pranjal - those did not have any obvious keywords or even Bangla words that sound similar to Hindi words. He did well to pick up those questions too.

Towards the end she asked him to sing a different Bangla song from the one he sang last time. The song he sang, Parbo Na, is the one he also sang in Ghatal - not during his solo performance but later when he resumed singing after being a band member for 1 hour. It is a few years' old song of Arijit Singh and has very romantic lyrics, and sung in the very mellow way that only Arijit Singh can.

All in all, a wonderful interview. Thanks for sharing this.
