When Virat married Sai first time, as per him he did huge favor on her. He said it in many of their arguments. He did credit himself for her education too. Because of all these he always took Sai for granted. And Sai coming back after every fight n accident only reinforced that. and hence Virat kept getting worst in each track, he just started taking her for granted. Kept his ego above her- Anniversary n Shruti track behavior.
Basically,He thought she is dependent (not financially) on him and wont go anywhere as she doesn’t have anyone, which sort of came out in their last fight n he called her Anath.

Seeing Sai independent n handling her life n a daughter and still helping villagers may give him reality check.
If I were in Virat’s place, I would be shit scared for messing up so bad
He should realize that Sai is very well capable of moving on and building life of her own. That fear should make him bend n go after Sai n seek her apology.

Thats my take, Lets see what they show. I doubt they put in as much thought as we do.
I have no hopes from Virat and more importantly I want Sai to realize how shallow Virat’s love was, She is alone n hence have to focus on building her life. Not make any compromise on career for Virat, the boy n CN, stay true to her goal of giving better health care in Kankoli.

They have milked separation well, given the PH, i hope they do not ruin Sai's character. It will not be a new ML for Sai. PH won't do this mistake.

It will be a triangle till last episode and who knows they might show Virakhi unite in death like Anu n Prerna in KZK1. But I digress. They will do Virakhi n Vinu in village with Virat around Sai n Savi with villagers doubting them or even Pakhi egging villagers that Sai is eying her husband. They will create many parallels to original marriage. I can even see them show Amay kind of situation being handled by Pakhi (karishma 's bf) like Shivani by Sai last time.

Virat loves Sai in his own way, it's just that he wants Sai with all her fierceness with outsiders but fake mellow like Pakhi with her family.

Seperate journey or new ML is not possible can't be handled by Ph n will make it boring. They need to bring in drama n toxicity soon, let's see how soon it is.
