The writers are kind of, I think, are showing that History repeats itself, but with a twist. If I am not wrong, the first person who caught on to the name Sai was Patralekha (wedding mandap) when Virat received the call and dashed to save his guru's daughter. In Saturday's episode too, no one paid attention to the name Savi except her. He had promised her that no one would take her place in his heart, as we all know he could not keep that promise after his wedding to Sai. He may never have promised Sai anything but even so many years after her death, his heart is loyal to only her.

It is most likely a fake wedding -- if they want to keep Patralekha relevant in the story for a long time -- someone who has done so much good without expecting anything in return. (But then one never knows with Indian television shows. They often make a sudden turn and kill their own story). And I doubt audience feel any sympathy for her, and the loud makeup is also not helping in that. She continues to show that her sole objective of existence is getting Virat's love. There was no detailed scene to establish her bond with Vinu -- which should have been there if writers wanted to show her as the MOTHER and not the Wife-in-Waiting.

A hit show like Ghum taking a leap even before it completed two years is not good news for the current set of actors. Three or six months later, they, for sure, will go for generation leap with Savi as the protagonist. The show has already told the story of Sai and Virat, and their reunion will not change the dynamics much. The reunion most likely will be the last high point of their story, and after that, Savi will take over -- she is already mouthing too many dialogues.

Sai will be soon back in Chavan niwas, that is where all the conflict are. She and her daughter are needed to solve them.

Masoom came in 1983. It talked about illicit affair and seemingly loyal husband and the magnanimity of a woman in recognizing the fault of her husband but also not putting the blame on the 'innocent' one.

She might have been conflicted in her acceptance of the child but even she agreed ki isme uss bacchhe ki kya galti Hai!!!!
