Don't think it is because of the backlash. The whole show got cancelled by Netflix. The Imdb rating is quite poor too. Maybe not profitable for Netflix to renew it for another season.

The show didn't performed well.

I remember reading about Bridgerton. The actors were only signed for season 1. If it gets good response then only season 2 will come. I think it's the standard Netflix procedure.

There wasn't any explicit scene that could have used actually with ahad raza mir. Netflix literally has 18+ scenes.
