Alot would be riding on Neeraj Pandey's screenplay for this film. Since he's didn't write it for the original, hopefully he would bring something new to table.

This can't be a scene to scene remake because the original movie's Hindi dub is available on YouTube for free. Then why would people watch the remake? We all know the box office fate of Jersey. An SRK's Don type twist is needed here.
