One thing is sure - we will see a jealous Ayesha. Soha is pakka coming back. And it will bring out the insecurities in her. She is alo very conscious of the class difference between her and Basit. Seeing Soha will also bring home that point to her. I want to see that because I wanna see how Basit handles her and assures her.

I realize a lot of us are pinning our hopes on Bano joining Basit's office. Like she can inform Basit of the sacrifices made by ayesha and her dream of studying further. Hope we don't get disappointed. I really want these two to bond. Fingers are crossed.

I like how you think Soha's return might be used in the show in terms of driving away Ayesha's insecurities. And yes...Basit might not go down the overly jealous track but yeah even if he thinks why she not as free and relaxed around me would be fine! 😆

It might just be a reflection of the pakistani society... Or maybe it is exaggerated for drama purpose...

But I have seen in pak dramas that perfectly acceptable behaviour is considered as modern and unconventional for women. Case in point, talking to other men, going out akele after a sundown, having male friends, etc.

Soha, of what we have seen till now, is a normal girl like the rest of us. She does come across as someone snooty or pretentious, but that is a byproduct of her privileged background. But we never saw her misbehave with any waiter or someone economically lower than her. So, I don't think she is snobbish.

Her demand of waiting for 6 months was normal. You can get engaged and get to know each other achhe se before marriage. That is what most girls today expect and want.

I am sure she will come back because her name gets top billing in the cast list. And hopefully she will not have some negative turn just for drama purpose. She can come as a family friend and still press on all the buttons of ayesha's insecurity.

Till now, from my understanding of the show, the main obstacle for ayesha in this marriage is not having an equal footing. She feels inferior due to having to depend on him for money. And for Basit, it is not being able to let go of his walls. Soha coming back can help with both these factors.

Ayesha might go through a phase where she thinks she is not deserving of Basit. And then it will be up to him to convince ayesha of her place in his life. I wish to see something on similar lines.

The one thing I really liked about Ayesha's attitude towards the marriage from the very first moment after she spoke "Qubool hai", was that she did not see herself as inferior to Basit. Her desire and need for respect stems from this very mindset. And she has no need to feel inferior. As she had said, one's financial circumstances in life is something that is beyond one's control. She has been a good student, a capable worker and she is confident in her own qualities and capabilities. hehe...at the restaurant Basit took her to before marriage, when he was saying I admire you for this and that quality, she told him point blank, don't tell me how I am. Tell me about you. 😆

I think if Ayesha is ever insecure about her place in Basit's life, it might come from a sense that HE does not see her as worthy of his status. And then it will be up to Basit to prove to her his love/admiration/respect for her. And I think this process has started already. Basit's coming to Ayesha's home to be there when Zoya's future in laws were visiting itself was a way for him to show Ayesha that he was serious about being a husband to her. That he respected her and wanted to be part of her life.
