The USP of this show was FL not being typical Mahaan FL of ITV . The show was on top when FL was mufat and ML was the calmer understanding one . That combo did work but I guess Vankar is behind tried and tested formula .

Anupamaa trp went downhill after wedding...after 4.5 they stooped to 2.8 now it is 3-3.2...vanku killed virat like raman of yhm who lived with his ex

There are many shows where ml is butchered for trp race and it was successful in trp race too..

I have watched YHM till Shagun comes and stays with Raman and his family . From the beginning Raman was problematic . He always chose his son and Shagun over Ishitha and Ruhi . I remember seeing a scene where he gets physical with FL in the shower to make her sign a document without her knowledge . He was the most toxic ML who put Ishita down with his crude jokes . He is one ML I despise and look at the irony Vankar turned my fav ML like Raman . 🤣

Target audience of shows like Ghum and Anupamaa are women and you'd see how women forgive everything except someone eyeing their husbands

For example - When Sai left CN after Devyani's wedding, we all came to a conclusion that Virat was guilty of domestic violence and everyone supported Sai when she left him but same batch cheered for her when she came back and jataoed her rights as a wife on Virat

One would think why do you want her to play wife to someone who abused her? But people see themselves in Sai and the ultimate goal is Sai happy with Virat or Sai with some other man

You'd see how easy it was for them to redeem a murderer but none will accept redemption of someone who has her her eye on female lead's husband

Logically, there's no redemption for people like Jagtap

TRP is out and ghum sustains second position . So what’s the verdict . Butchering of ML made a difference or no ?

@Bold that’s the reason even I can think of . The more the FL cries the more the TRP . If ML is shown as understanding partner then the thunder is stolen from the FL . This has been happening from ages in ITV .
