Unpopular Opinion: Gangubai is Bhansali's best work till date
its a phase, like in 2002 time or pre dabang era.
It is a mixture of multiple factors.
- people want theatrical movies to be larger than life, cinematic, and action-packed. There is no desire for simple films and social dramas in theatres.
- pandemic has definitely shifted how often people will choose to go into theatres, a global recession has also tightened how much people are willing to spend.
- the abundance of streaming options takes up people's times. Even if they are interested in a theatrical release they may wait for it to stream or choose to catch up on other streaming options.
- On their own boycott trends don't do much but compounded with so many shifts in media consumption patterns just increases their impact

Just tell me one single actress who was given opportunities the way Alia was given, ever since her Debut? Absolutely NONE. During 2000s also there were Nepo kids & despite being Kareena fan i canāt deny she was favoured a lot like Alia , but Atleast there were actresses like Deepika,Priyanka, Preity, Aishwarya etc who were equally given opportunities to star in big budget movies & they ended up becoming big stars. Ab toh there is literally no one except for Alia who can compete with her for the top spot. Thatās why I said Nepotism worsened with Alia & will go even worse with the likes of Jhanvi, Sara, Ananya and many more star kids who are waiting to debut next. There is a reason why BW isnāt same anymore & lost itās originality and is at itās worst.
I canāt predict what will happen but I hope to see KIERRA ADVANI rule the top spot šš„³ I like her personality and style. In dancing itās Nora but she donāt have much acting ability!! I like disha fitness routine and dancing but she not much of an actress either !! So itās KIERRA TO ME !! Regarding Alia sge does a movie I think worth seeing I will othewise I wonāt . Plus I donāt got time or energy to see whose a star kid or an outsider so you guys let me know that š and debate away !! While I will just say yay or nay to movies šæ. Since you asked on actresses and nit actors I didnāt list who I liked these days. That in another post
Only celebrity Iām biased in and loyal to this day and will see every single movie in the big screen is SALMAN KHAN !!
Btw itās 10 years on ek tha tiger anniversary

Why no one cried nepotism when industry kids like Aamir, Raveena, Salman, Kajol, Sunny, Bobby Deol, Karishma, Sanjay Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Kareena, Abhishek, Rani, Kunal Kapoor, Saif, Pratibha Sinha, Puru Rajkumar, Fardeen, Farha, Tabu, Twinkle, Rinke Khanna, Esha Deol, Tusshar Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Tanisha, Uday Chopra, Vivek Oberoi, Shraddha Kapoor etc flooded the industry in 80s, 90s and 2000s?
Why no cries against nepotism earlier when Kapoor Khandaan men were in every second film?
Even music was ruled by families like Burmans, Mangeshkars, sons of Kishore and Rafi also came out there.
And why no talk of nepotism when South films have all nepo kids like Ram Charan, Prabhas, Rana, Allu Arjun etc? Which outsider is there in those hit South films?
I think the outrage on nepotism came most prevalent was when SSR an outsider committed suicide. I saw on twitter and other social media during the pandemic people blaming the industry on his suicide and many big celebrities including KJO were targeted and any celebrity expressing remorse was targeted. I wanting a boycott on star kids. So I think that is the reason the issue as come to center stage.
Also kangana voiced this on a constant basis. In northern California aka Silicon Valley where SSR sister a real estate agent lives there was huge rally and billboard which I personally saw to get justice on SSR. I believe his then ex girlfriend and other co stars Sara Ali khan shraddha Kapoor were integrated as well . This is just my view why now the neo kids vs outsiders as gained more attention.
But yes it as always existed.

When SSR was alive, where were these so-called his fans? He wasn't a big star, he used to ask his fans to watch his films because they weren't running well at BO. Nobody cared about him. No trending anything was there for his films, for his work or anything related to him. Why, suddenly, after his death, this rush of his fans came into existence?
SSR is NOT the first outsider to commit suicide. Almost all suicides in Indian showbiz were by outsiders. Pratyusha Bannerjee, Kulraj Randhawa, Nafisa, Silk Smitha, Kamal Sadanah, Kushal Punjabi, Jiah Khan etc are outsiders. Why no one felt same emotion for them or outrage for nepotism then?
Did SSR ever mention he committed suicide due to K Jo or nepotism or star kids or star kids getting opportunities but not him? He left no suicide note.
Entire hoopla around him is media generated and Kangana only used his death to let out her own frustration against Bollywood.

He always had fans, not from Bollywood, but from TV. He was one of the most popular Indian TV actors of his time.

His TV fans didn't complain about him not getting work in films. His TV fans were fans of his work in TV series. The ones who started all this complained about the film industry. Maybe a few might have joined them, but not all TV fans did that.

I knew it I said that day
2 days after he died someone said he didnt so suicide but he was finished off for providing competition to star kids. Thats a big accusation š³
It clearly means Aishwarya was using Salman name for clout and sympathy. If she loved him she should have accepted him publicly....
