Writers could have used this plot element mainly for Indu to see Zoon's mom after 5 years? and to realize how selfishly she went ahead in her career as a single woman, after dumping just born kid mercilessly. May be Indu after recognizing Kadambari panics & is upset, and so doesn't come forward to play volley ball match? anyhow Kadambari won't be able to recognize Indu in disguise of a man.

From bts, it looks like Ritesh played volley ball game as Zoon's father, won't be surprised if Btimes publishes a cooked scoop article next day that, does super star Ritesh have a hidden school going disabled 5 years old kid in Mumbai? who is kids mother, why is Ritesh hiding his secret family from world? After all Kadambari was desperate to have some exclusive coverage of Ritesh.

Looks like a hit-and-miss scene, since Indu is drunk and in disguise, but well spotted, could have been an interesting narrative to follow. But like you said in the next para, Kaddu will be prompted to dig deeper on Rits and Zoon's relationship and will discover both Indu and her long-lost daughter who she can then use for her own gains.
