Today is the day that the loyal viewers whom watched the show form day one get to say we told you so. The journey was always supposed to be one of Aditya, Maline and Imlie. One that centred around her struggles of acceptance, dreams and love.
This was the way each of them would learn and discover what it meant for them and how letting go would lead to more rewarding things. The key was that Imlie started her journey so well in this phase. She was in on her own but blossomed when she realised that Aditya loved her for whom she was and not what she was. She represented her ideals and believes but that didn’t mean she did not want more. We saw Aditya whom was a man of ideals and one whom thrives on his passion of work and inner truth. His was was his first open conversation that showed the world what he felt and wanted. His passion to love and feel his true self was when he met Imiie whom knew what he hid and read his hearts truth. She was his balance and seal to want to have the love he believed he was aloof of. He of course loved Maline but the fact was he was not in love with her ideals. She mirrored what he wanted but it’s not what he needed. Despite being in a loving home he was alone.
Maline was shown to come from a modern home. The outer beauty didn’t reflect within and although she was educated when it came to the matters of the heart she lacked behind because of the scars in her parents one marriage. She never realised that although Aditya loved and cared for her he was not in love with her as she needed him to be. she believe she could have what her parents had by control but then she realised that matters of the heart cannot be brought but have to be wanted.
See the beauty was that all of them had a grey shade in there character and all knew they had flaws but all strived to love and find acceptance. That’s what made the story and that what made the characters related and to be fair the second season has never been able to deliver what the past has.
The show worked well with ST, GM and MD because it was a unit delivery and it was based on a whole cast and not just one character. I still believe if GM had stayed and ST had left the show would not be the same they all made the show. The only way this show has a chance if the old cast character are brought back because as much as they try and fit in Aryan and the family this was never meant to be there story or show for that they should have created another one.
