I think I watched Shobhana dance somewhere. I do lots of searchings about national awards winners.. I like watching different talented Indian actors and singers in my free time.. this is how I know about South Indian movies.
There was a Tamil channel which appeared for free in my setallite for a little time. it introduced me to the world of South Indian movies, songs and dances. I became a fan. I used to watch many songs specially those which are composed by : A.R.Rehman. I liked the energy in dances .. Vijay , Surya were the 1st actors who caught my interest.. then started liking Vikram 😳. Malayalm I don't know many names but Mohanlal, Mamotty , Dulquer Salman and Fahad Fasil are among the actors I watched few of their movies. I can't remember actresses names though.😆
Shobana stopped acting in the early 2000s and has a full time dancing career. She does shows all around the world. So you might have seen her. In the last 20yrs she might have done like 2-3 movies in total. The last two movies of hers were good. Last one was with dulqar salmaan and priayadarshan's daughter. Dulqar is mammotty's son and Fahad fazil is son of the director of manichitrathazu 😆. Even though both are starkids they are good actors esp Fahad.
Vikram is also one of my favourite actors. Don't watch much of Surya or Vijay movies esp Vijay. Kamal Hassan is my fav Tamil actor and i guess you might know him as he has done a lot of Hindi films as well. I guess he is the only Indian actor to have tasted success in all the industry he has worked in. In the 70s and 80s he used to do more Malayalam movies than Tamil.
