Here are the answers to the short cases I made you all solve.

1. The poison was in the ice. Soni’s drink’s ice melted thus mixing the poison into the drink, but because Bee drank her drinks so fast, the poison didn’t have time to act.
   
2. The detective opened the window on each floor, which means they were closed and if the female committed suicide, one of the windows would have been open.
3. The seaman was guilty. It was a Japanese ship and that means it was flying a Japanese flag which is a white background with a red dot in the middle. There is no wrong side to the flag.
4. The math teacher. He claimed he was preparing a mid-year test, but it’s only Day 1 of school.
5. The poison was in the water, not the pills. Each victim took the pill with water and died.
6. They pressed play and the tape played from the beginning. If the man had killed himself, how could he reverse the tape to the beginning?
7. The husband booked 2 tickets to Switzerland but only 1 ticket back.
8. Dig up the dirt and pile it under the window and then escape via the window.
9. There were only muddy footprints on the bedroom floor, no glass. If the window had been broken from the outside, there would be glass on the floor as well.
10. She added extra pepper to her soup and the new bowl had extra pepper in it already or the volume was less than a full bowl of soup. I also accepted extra salt or seasoning or any other play on the seasoning/pepper/salt variety. However, I did not accept temperature or hair still in soup or same bowl as previously or lipstick changed the colour of the soup or any other such options as an answer.
