I dont knw exact reason but i heard Go Yoon jung was trained for more than 2yrs for this role, ussi samay jae wook ko bhi yeh Jang uk role offer hua tha , later jung somin ko FL ka role mil gaya

U can see GYJ ko as naksu kaafi action scenes milte hai bcz usko train kiya hai iske kiye whereas mudeok/somin ko hardky koi action sequence mila hai abtak as she is not trained for this.

Yes somin is popular as main actress among main leads and i think Second ML min hyun is also popular but his popularity comed from his idol career (member of Nu'est boy band grp) not from acting career

This is the same pattern in every show of butchering other characters for the leads especially the FLs. And even if they are not butchered they will be shown doing nothing and only one or both the leads being active and doing everything.
