This is why I enjoy forums which are not dominated by fangirls. It’s much more fun to discuss the show that way. Because fans will never see or think beyond their fav’s character.
IMO Sameen is not a good person despite being so educated. Remind me if I am wrong but we never saw her defend or protect Hala from all the abuse she was put through happening right in front of her eyes. And she treated her terribly after Hamza married Hala instead of her. Insulting her, vandalising her room, getting physical with her. Even when Hala fainted right in front of her eyes, she didn’t even move a muscle. Is that what being educated means? Because otherwise she even lacks basic ethics.
And I also thought I was the only one who noticed that Hala seemed sick while climbing the stairs to Khurram’s apartment. I guess that got lost between all the Hala bashing lol. I now foresee Khurram as Hala’s well wisher in the coming episodes, as he will realise after this incident how Shahjahan was playing both him and Hala from the very beginning to suit her evil agendas.
The writing is inconsistent and terrible atm because both the writer/director have only one purpose in mind. To salvage Hamza. The rest be damned. People were loving Hala’s progression so much and they ruined it just for the sake of sensationalism. Obviously it backfired. The show is degrading in quality day by day. Look at how the views and trp have decreased.
@Italic Yes, I think I remember you from somewhere before too ? :)
Twitter is toxic as a platform itself, on each topic. Its more about the hashtag and people saying what get likes and RT, not really real depthful discussions. I have seen a few threads since the begining of the show on MH that were deep and good but they get little likes and attention, the whole platform is for buzz and drama.
@Bold Yeah, I dont at all feel sorry for Sameen. She was so toxic about Hamza, physically hurt Hala, even if Hala has always been nice to her, even nicer than she is to Rumi. Hala also felt like she was a bit complexed with Sameen, not anymore and that's good. To me, I liked Sameen episode 1-10, then they wanted so bad to make a triangle / deceived girl situation that they ruined her whole character. So idc for her that much. Hala genuinely does, however, and its what will cost her.
@underlined I agree with you, even if him being nicer to her might worsen Hamza's missunderstanding, but its a mature way of handling things - we had a relationship, it didnt work, lets move on. And yes, it does help realise that SJ has been lying since the start and purposely ruined it all for them, even if Khurram's still at fault. It might help in the end too because SJ herself has admitted to Raees how she lied to Khurram about Hala-Hamza being engaged.
@bold italic I agree completely. They took the "nice hero" thing so far, in a comlete 180 degrees turn from Asher (Humsafar) that they ruined Hala's character developpement, when the story was clearly initially hers. It was about her for 7-8 entire episodes, was about her evolving and growing from her trauma in the begining of their marriage... Now they've kind of messed it all up, this is why I'd rather they didn't modify a story once its written, it ruins it and make it a headache. They better have a really good epilogue/end in store, that could make up for the mess and inconsistency of episodes 20-28.
I really want Shafaq back in the picture btw, she was such a genuinely nice friend & support system for Hala, and reacted much better than Sameen even if it was worst for her because Khurram & her actually were committed unlike Hamza and Sameen.
