Before I start, I wanna say that I actually really liked this episode. We got story progression and character development.
I'll start with Hala and Hamza. Their scenes today had my heart. Hala repeatedly calling Hamza to apologize and then Hamza coming home with roses as an apology was such a sweet gesture. Then we had Halza mirror scene where Hamza kept complimenting his wife and praised her for standing up for herself against his own mother. In the end, we got the study room scene where they talk about the limits of hatred and love. Hamza is such a ideal husband at this point. So in summary, we had an abundance of Halza scenes and moments which make this episode worth watching.
Unfortunately, she didn't get to confess the truth to Hamza or at least that's implied. I don't know if they'll show that she somehow told him the truth off-screen and SJ's tactics won't work, but I doubt Hamza knows the truth.
Then we see a change in Khurram a night or so before his engagement. He finally recalls his mom's words about him trapping an innocent girl for his own selfish desires and he decides to accept his destiny. He forgives Hala, or so he says to SJ, and wants to move forward in life with Sameen. So yes, he is shown to be a positive character in this episode. And I actually loved his and Sameen's engagement scenes because they look really cute together.
SJ's state is almost pathetic and that's hilarious. Hala stood up to her, called her a chameleon in front of Raees and even challenged SJ that she'll tell her truth to Hamza in front of her. Khurram insults SJ so blatantly and keeps challenging her to expose him if she dares 🤣 But she still got her small wins here and there, all because Hala is still not strong enough to oppose her.
Rumi, on the other hand, is still talking to a guy, who we saw is a new character in this episode. She even went on a date with him where she keeps flaunting her money. So I have no doubt that the guy is trapping her for money or something, which is going to be heartbreaking. But this is her karma.
Now coming to the promo for episode 28, I had these doubts since the untying hair in front of mirror scene, but I think this show is taking the Humsafar route. That show also had a very similar hair untying scene where Fawad's character also says "May I?" to which Mahira's character nods. And that show also had the scene where Fawad's mom takes Mahira to a guy's house and calls her son to show the "extramarital affair" his wife is having with another man. So yeah, if this show does take that route, we'll get a separation and a leap where Hala would have given birth to their child
