I’m telling you, It’s meant to be. I’ve danced to this song as a kid so many times. I was always pretending to be the other girl competing with Rekha because I liked her outfits and the singers voice more. Totally down to recreate this song.

Despite the chachi reference being the only light-hearted moment, I’m still laughing over it everytime I remember your description. 😆

I guess I wouldn't find better moment than this to express my feelings. I've always been someone who didn't believe in concept of social media friends. Just the fact that getting close to someone when you don't know them sounded so insane to me.

But thanks to IF for proving Mr wrong. I found few beautiful people here and I'm glad and one of them is you Deepika Di. Even when our opinions don't match everytime, I admire and respect you so much, to an extent that I stalked you 🤣

Rekha, bless her tits, was not looking her best in that song.

Apart from the final black&gold outfit, I think Sonu Walia kinda low-key outshined her, but it's always been a bit of a big fat elephant in the room that nobody mentions, because "Rekha ji"

(but also, Sonu was 23 years old, Rekha was aged 33 so that played a big part)

[TRIVIA» I believe she fought to get it reshot after watching the rushes. She done a crash diet and lost some weight, but Rakesh Roshan was ready to release the film already. If I remember correctly Rekha said in an interview that they began shooting in January and released the film in August (1988) which was super duper duper quick for those times]
