She spent the next week turning the store and home upside down searching for the conveyance deed. She had multiple meetings with her lawyer and accountant, slept in the store, didn’t go home even one time. Her mother brought her nephews over after work when she brought dinner and was confused and shocked her daughter had turned into this person she absolutely did not know any more
“chhod de beta, next week taq kaha se laayegi deed?” Nidhi panicked

An idea came to her when she was talking to her mother
The next morning she was her lawyer Kareen Seth’s office after spending two hours drafting an appeal they drove to the municipal courthouse and paid their way through to get an appointment for August 31st, with a judge

She had nothing, the money in her bank would keep the loan going for 10 months

There was no plan
She sat in her father’s reclining chair by the front of the store, after locking up at night with the radio playing on her phone and with a book unable to read thinking about how else she could have hurt Pradyut Munjal
The first couple nights after returning she spent the evenings looking up the company and every person associated with them
Their social media and their family events published in society pages
She didn’t pay any attention to the man, too filled with rage
She also wrote a long objective paragraph to Sharma & Purohit that she will resort to legal and judicial action if they ever ventured to Bhushan Kunj
The morning of 31st… the Gods were kind, the rain poured like a river
The judge Ravi Kapoor gave Kareem and Taruni exactly 12 minutes between two hearings

Taruni reluctantly slept well the whole night after sending the image of the order with the link to every relevant website to Ajit Singh, Sharma-Purohit, and the generic email ID of Towers Partners
Pradyut got in his car and started driving toward Chandigarh
He was expected to be in person at 2 PM to over see the demolotion after a quick ceremony tomorrow
But he started driving at 2 AM
