The "new song" sounded cute as hell, but I think it's always a bad sign when they rely on an old song from the prequel to promote the new film - like, is the soundtrack that weak babe?

It was OK. If they promote it well it might open decently and then WOM may or may not take it further.

John’s story angle seems straight forward. He lost his love and became a killer of one sided love interests. I have no idea what’s going on with Arjun and Tara. Unfortunately they don’t have any chemistry and Arjun doesn’t have the ability to show angst or anger. Tara wasn’t even there enough for me to tell if she was good or bad.

Tara crying in the car and Arjun begging her outside was a direct copy of Shraddha crying in the train and Sid running after her. So was Disha and John touching fingers through the condensed window. But same production, same director, and same name, so I guess that’s to be expected 🤷🏽‍♀️

Ek villain film had the all time best songs, the whole album was finest, hope this one has too.
