Also, I vaguely remember Sikander saying that he wouldn't force her, and he didn't need to because he would make her come to him on her own. He would manhandle her and push her around, so that's how she got the bruises.
What's really scary is that not only do the servants watch her and tell on her, they weren't allowed to interact with her, and he had installed cameras all over the house to monitor her on his phone at all times. That's why she was numb and out of it when she returned home, the whole marriage with Sikander has been a shocking and traumatizing time for her. She had to check out emotionally in order to survive.
What Sikander wanted to do was to break her and then mold her to his liking, and then he would be her owner. He was gaslighting her and always finding new ways to torment her, whether it was insulting her art, taunting her about how worthless she was to her family, or dehumanizing her and referring to her as a decorative piece in his house so she shouldn't be allowed to have feelings.
