This way the chances are higher that Rishta are endgame.

He seem to know very well who Preeta is and also says something like "Jaan lene vali...." kind of implying that they killed Karan. So he is either Karan with face changed (again why face change he was bit by that crokadile so he should be limping with artificial leg). or someone who helped and rescued Karan.
