Finally Ushna and Shehroze centric episode. Their all scenes were treat to watch. I guess both of them fallen for each other. Nikkah ky Do Bol, Do dilon ko ek kardety hain. That's so true. The Tom and Jerry couple is now in live with each other.

How the tables have turned

Shehroz never gave any attention to his ex but he wants to be the centre of ushna attention.

it feels like the missing ingredient to the change of shehroze was also zainab. in some ways, zunaisha was needed for naima to realize how obsessive shehroze had become to the point that he was not having a normal life. because he felt guilty that he wasn't there when naima had a stroke, he was over controlling and he felt constantly frustrated by the care given by servants and nurses. to be fair, you need someone to supervise them when you have a patient at home. then it works out better. he had to manage both office and home and he was all the time popping in. so he didn't have a personal life and he expected zunaisha to do the same.

zunaisha wasn't wrong in wanting care, concern and attention. that was why naima didn't feel upset with zunaisha but understood why zunaisha was frustrated. however, shehroze wouldn't give time to the relationship at all and zunaisha did make the right call to cut it off.

it was a wake up call to naima and wahab that things had to change. when wahab fell sick, naima felt really helpless and felt the way forward was not a daughter-in-law but a second wife who can step in and do what she is unable to do. shehroze felt naima was being unrealistic but naima was very shrewd - she didn't randomly pick any woman but assessed zainab to be the right fit for their house.

naima was spot on in her judgement and slowly naima and zainab have developed a real friendship. zainab also promised wahab that she would take care of naima's health. by doing so, she has removed much of the tension that shehroze had.

it took him time to get over his doubts and concerns that zainab and ushna might do something behind his back, or that wahab would be blind to naima and her needs. instead, by seeing that parents have been able to balance their life and the situation is working means that shehroze has been slowly easing off from his over hovering of naima. that is why he stopped coming in as much to see her because he could see that she was well taken care. not just physically but she had emotional company. she had been lonely and he recognized that but he wasn't able to do much for her. zainab and ushna met the need for friendship, chatter, liveliness and filling up this empty house.

this allows shehoze to have his own me time which he had been slowly using. he didn't feel the need to keep popping in to check on naima. before, naima was stuck at home all the time because of her disability but now naima and zainab are even stepping out together to the movie. because he doesn't have to feel guilty or concerned that naima is alone at home, he is free to go on this date with ushna and enjoy it to his heart's content -- knowing that naima is having fun on her own and is well taken care of with zainab.

I agree with you. Even I was thinking the same. With Zainab's presence , he became relaxed and assured. He is able to focus on his work and personal life. In the starting , he did look weird and obsessed. Zunaisha was not wrong somehow. Because in many shows, we always see such girls in wrong light, with Zunaisha, she was right in certain extent. She was ambitious and also wanted a man who cares for her. Naima realised this, that her disability is not only becoming a problem for her husband but also for her son who does not see anything beyond her. When Naima met Zainab and Ushna, Naima realised that Zainab is the one who she wants to bring in her home and who can bring some change in her life. Initially, Shehroz was skeptical about Zainab fooling his mother and father for money but when he saw Zainab and Ushna taking care of Naima genuinely, he started to see Zainab in different light.

I completely agree with you, that the most important reason for his difference of behaviour with Zunaisha and Ushna is Zainab. He is assured in Zainab taking care of his mom, so he has all the personal time for his wife unlike with Zunaisha , as he relied on her to take care of his mom. If Zainab would not have been there, he might have demanded the same from Ushna. Although, both Zunaisha and Ushna are different in terms that Ushna also puts her closed ones above her just like him while Zunaisha was little self obsessed. This is one difference , I feel Shehroz might have noticed between Zunaisha and Ushna, hence making Ushna still a better choice than Zunaisha for him. So he seems more inclined towards Ushna. Along with this he is actually smitten by her beauty and got attracted by her indifferent and fiesty attitude towards him which made him think more about her.

zainab being there is also a huge help for ushna in that she does not have to manage the house alone and get overwhelmed. when ushna showed doubts about the rishta, zainab said that she will be right here in the next room. ushna is the daughter-in-law but it will be a team effort with zainab to manage the house. so ushna in some ways gets to enjoy being a young wife first because her mom is around.

we can see how zainab and naima were very wise in matching their kids together. when I initially started the drama, I was bit confused on the plot setup -- that shehroze was in essense marrying his stepsister. but the writer has removed any ickiness and had made their relationship transition seemless.

what helped was that both were antagonistic from the get go and never saw each other as step-siblings. instead you have the awkwardness, tension and conflict of getting to know each other in the beginning where they are forced to share the same roof. since neither quite accepted the second marriage, their relationship was more like strangers forced to hang out together.

naima is right in that shehroze and ushna are reflections of each other. they both do have unusually close relationship with their mothers and are overprotective. this means that others who dont' share that kind of vibe with their own family can never understand the mindset of ushna and shehroze -- zunaisha and sufiyan both got mad and frustrated.

in contrast, ushna finds shehroze closeness with naima as something sweet and positive. so rather than resent, she will see shehroze attentions on naima as only right. also ushna has a good relationship with naima already and so there is no competition or sense of loss on either side. I found the breakfast scene really funny and indicative of how things have changed and have not. both mothers are busy chatting as usual and figuring out grocery list and not even paying attention to these two -- who like always are having a little banter and small argument. 😆

I have never seen such a delusional Ashiq. His delusion is on.another level. He wants to free Ushna from Shehroz's kaid 🤣 He does not have any idea, that Ushna already loves Shehroz and wants to live in his Kaid forever. This guy needs a reality check. And I want one strong confrontation scene between Sufiyan and Ushna where Ushna tells Sufiyan to back off and tell him how not only Shehroz is a far better human than him, but also a better husband, plus how much she loves Shehroz. And I am manifesting , Shehroz hearing all this and blushing and feeling proud of his wifey.☺️

This is so right, that actually their mothers could see beyond what many people cannot, not even Shehroz and Ushna. As young children, both Shehroz and especially were seeing only the superficial side of their relationship which only involved their surface level fights. But the depth of their relationship which their mothers could see it coming considering how Shehroz and Ushna are so similar , and them coming together will always be a wise choice. Hence, both Zainab and Naima were assured on breakfast table about them getting along. They were indifferent to their antics as they knew, Ushna and Shehroz will naturally get along having same personalities.

I also, resonate with this point of them not accepting each other as step siblings. I appreciate the writers for this that they never made it look awakward, nor their interactions. Although, as an audience we already knew Ushna was adopted so we did not see them in that light. But even them not accepting their parents marriage make their interactions more like strangers.

it also helps that shehroze refers to zainab as aunty and ushna calls wahab as uncle. ushna was insistent that wahab will never be her father and we see naima tell her gently that wahab will never be that; he is only her guardian. so I really appreciate how the writer kept those dynamics and that removed any weirdness about the situation.

another thing I like is how these two mothers love their children that they accept them warts and all. because shehroze and ushna are so alike, there is bound to be always clashes even when they are lovey dovey. they are both fiery, say things impulsively and push back. but neither naima and zainab take it to heart or expect them to act a certain way.

shehroze will always be a little brusque at times and ushna is never going to be that quiet demure bahu. but for both zainab and naima, that isn't what they are looking for. they want their children to be loved and protected. also indirectly, they need protection and care themselves. since naima is disabled, it does leave her vulnerable and with zainab, she has been blackmailed about the adoption for so many years.

ushna needed a partner who would not only care for her but also for zainab. shehroze stepped up and showed how protective he can be when zainab got sick -- he even yelled at ushna for being a brat. as for ushna, naima feels free to be strict with her but also show love to her. ushna is willing to accept correction and does not take offense. at the same time, naima isnt' all the time blaming her for things or picking on her. wahab isn't there giving a whole set of instructions on how to behave....

this allows shehroze and ushna to be themselves even after married. so when shehroze says that he doesn't expect ushna to change, it is sweet but it is also true because she lives with in-laws who have already accepted her as she is. same with shehroze, zainab gets his heart.
