This. Both are guilty of defamation and domestic violence. Amber Heard went through a smear campaign against her by Depp's team as well and the verdict proves that. But the one sided narrative has spread so much through media and social media that people are considering this a win for Johnny on all counts - the internet experts are dubbing this win as if Depp is entirely innocent on counts of both defamation and domestic violence. What a sad, sad day. I initially didn't care for both of them because it was turning into a media spectacle. But the spinning of this verdict and treatment of the case is going to set a precedent that a person could be sued by their Ex for defamation if they chose to speak up in cases of DV even with sufficient evidence. The fear alone is going to shut people up for not wanting to bear both the public spectacle and the financial burden that's gonna accrue. Tragically, this is going to undermine Heard's actual case and the DV counts that Depp was found guilty of.
