Not sure why you picked this as an example, because it is not even similar nor the same country but...When comparing you cannot pull information out of your rear side and post as if... OJ was NOT "let off" by the LAW he was tried under the USA law, following the rule of the land, that protects all citizens and gives them the chance to have their case heard and judged by a JURY of peers, they and not the legal system decided to not convict Mr. Simpson. You may not like it and still think Mr. Simpson is guilty but once that jury deliverates the outcome is binding and everyone has to accept it. Law is not about justice or fairness or public opinion it is about following a process, it is not perfect but it is followed and respected and equal for all. When people are not happy with one aspect of it they vote and change it...that is what Democracy is. In fact the jury in his case was largely influenced by the fact that the goverment agencies fudged up the investigation and the process so badly that they tainted the case. THE agencies are supposed to be impartial, professional and not CORRUPT, when they mess up; the default benefits go to the accused, as it should. It is the governments duty to follow protocol NOT the criminal or accused.
You further state that : "The top guys in BJP have better things to do". Really? What better things do they have going on than protecting ALL the citizens of the nation and making sure everyone is equal? This statement alone is as as corrupt as what we all saw unfold before our eyes on Mr. Khans arrest, led by and under the protection of the ruling party of the land.
You also claim: "I am a BJP guy." If this is the case then you should address your party, demand that they clean up their act, start following the rule of law, stop the justification and the support of corruption and become a shinning example of leadership and transparency that benefits the entire nation, ALL equal under the law. When you are THE elected ruling party of a democratic nation by default it means that you represent the entire nation, even those that did not elect you. Your main and ONLY job is to ensure equality for all.
Is it possible to have this discussion without bringing in all the rear end talk? It's so down market, buddy😆
anyway, if you want to rant against the agencies, be my guest. While you are at it, you can throw in the police and even the judiciary under the bus for all I care. 😆All too often, they are corrupt. We have the Salman Khans, Spectrum Rajas, Chidambarans walk free. Apparently they are innocent because the courts set them free or guilt could not be proven. Afaic, they are innocent under a set of rules. Another jury, other judges, other cops, the same fellows would have been nailed. In other words, the system might be the best we have but it is not infallible. THE OJ example was given as illustration, though you missed the big picture.😉
as for attacking the BJP, you should know that law and order is a state subject. In many of the BJP ruled states like UP, violent crime and rapes and rioting have come down dramatically. If things are still bad elsewhere, go after those state govts. Making speeches here wont help😉
yes, NCB is technically under control of the centre. But the officers who man it are ones who have come up the IPS cadre system under mostly the UPA govts. But for sure, there are rogue officers in it, same as there are in any organization, in any country.
you also found this govt wanting because some officers screwed up on the SRK case. Sorry bud, a lot of other people in India have more important issues to contend with than whether SRK or his son are drug addicts and whether they were treated properly. 😉A lot of the country believes that the govt is doing a better job than the sorry alternatives we have... which is why it has been winning elections. In a democracy we need to go with that, not your pet peeves. Hope you don't mind.😉
