Hear me out, during the dance competition time the question was never about her love! They had well established the fact that she loves him no matter what! She had already confessed also by then.

That time it was about whether she wants to get married to him or not given the society's pressure (Correct me if I'm wrong because I've skipped a lot of episodes in between)

Also, had Anuj not been sure of Anu's love (that gives him the haq on her) he wouldn't have asked her to decide on the first place! Before Anu's confession, it was only one time he had asked her to take stand (that too for her self respect, not love, or marriage) that was during bhoomi pujan and he felt he had crossed the line of permitted haq to indulge in her life and he apologized profusely for it.

So, coming back to the point, I felt Anuj wanted to nudge her to decide what she wants in her life and not what other wants for her.

Acc to Anuj's charc arc , he would have left happy knowing her love for him had she decided not to marry him! Or even be her silent constant support from shadows! As tragic as it sounds

That is what confuses me sometimes. That particular episode made me think it was an ultimatum. But the following day, it looked like he did not want be a thorn in her path to success. I guess he would have left, but tunred into Devdas!

It is shown as if he is desperately trying to reach her. It was confusing. So, I had assumed that he was eager to meet her - 1) to know her decision 2) to be there for her for moral support on her big day irrespective of her decision.

So, I guess him questioning of her anger was to perhaps understand her reasoning for her cold shoulder when she chose him over the SH?
