Firstly, I am gonna say I did not want to cry on my BIRTHDAY...but I did!!!!!
Loving the pace of the episodes and how dramatic, yet realistic the scenes are.
Its not uncommon for the rich to misuse their power and money and that's exactly what Shamsher did.
The man can't take no for an answer and he thinks of Mehak as an object. He seems to be living with the ideology that money can buy anything and everything and I honestly can't wait to see him get smacked in the face by karma.
Mehak and her family's helplessness was so painful to watch. Esp the way her father was treated in prison and the follow up scene when Akram gets out of prison, reaches home and is completely shook over the events that transpired. Because of this, I want Shamsher to face the consequences of his actions even more so.
Coming to performances, Shahood Alvi brought me to tears, DurE Fishan made me want to hug her during that phone call scene and Naumaan Ijaz was menacing in the two scenes he has...Baba Sahab is like the trump card that can cause hell but you don't know its complete potential yet. The tension during the dinner table is proof of this.
And well Danish...I gotta dedicate a para to him, right? 😆
He's nailing it as Shamsher. Like, a total spoiled, morally incorrect and overall messed up individual, but yet not the "villain", if ukwim. Yet I am disgusted by his actions.
I detest Shamsher, but I don't hate him the way I hated Jaan e Alam. You can see Shamsher hasn't even grown up completely and is not even capable if taking responsibilities in life. He just thinks the world is a department store- you like something, you get it...or pay huge amounts of money to buy it.
There is a very fine line which Danish could have easily crossed and made Shamsher unbearable and totally hateable...but he didn't. Brilliant as always!! 👏
