hayeeeee, I can't believe this show has completed 500 freaking episodes!!!!! more than that, I can't believe how close it has come to my heart. it's a journey that I've lived in the last 2 years.
there are times I've been irritated, cribbed and criticised (sometimes unfairly too) over certain things but I still love it, I still want to watch it every day, I still want to see it prosper, I still want to see the characters grow and I want it to go on to create more milestones. given a choice between any other ITV show and madam sir, it will always be the latter. these characters/actors/actresses have grown so much on me that I can't think of anyone else in their places.
it can get in over its head at times, but at the end of the day, they raise issues that seem so small in the grand scheme of things but are relevant to our everyday lives (even if they crash and burn, we are forced to reflect, think and maybe make a change). that in itself is something to appreciate and adore.
every one of these characters has something inspiring, beautiful and memorable to offer.
haseena - sticking by her principles throughout everything.
Karishma- standing up for what is right no matter what the consequences are.
Pushpa Ji- a warm maternal figure that every child would be lucky to have.
my masumiyat- uff! yeh masumiyat
cheetah- staying loyal to the person he loves even if it's one-sided
billu- such a helpful friend and comrade he is.
iqbal and badnam- always sticking by MPT and of course, badnam ka zeher.
ASI mira- complicated humans, huh!
other than the cast, I want to thank the forum waasis who have made the experience all the more wholesome, for creating a space where we can share our thoughts/opinions/rant/vent without any judgement or it turning into a heated argument, a place where despite the difference in opinion, there is a sense of camaraderie that seems to surround me, a safe place to be.
