While I agree and have always said that much of Harsh's toxic behavior towards Akshu and Manjari is due to his insecurities of them taking his son away from them/him being jealous of how much Abhi loves them, it cannot be reduced to that in my opinion. (I got lazy listing out all the reasons as to why he would behave the way he does we've seen enough things from him to determine he has all sorts of triggers, insecurities, and issues that attribute to his bad behavior. He is also very much as you have stated a product of the man of a certain time period and the way he has been raised.)

I still think there must have been some huge misunderstand khaand of some sort that happen in which Harshvardhan blames Manjari for and thus continues to treat her the way he does. This is ITV and this is YRKKH we know in the end some secret or something is going to be revealed that explains some of the behavior and whitewashing starts.

I also still think Harshvardhan just simply does not trust Akshu because so far whenever a major khaand has happened or drama Akshu is involved. He's seen his son fall apart because the girl in his mind refused to speak up during the first tilak fiasco, then she rejected him in front of the entire household, then she back tracks her statement and admits she loves Abhi thus making him a runaway groom (again in his mind), she was also involved in the car accident with his wife (regardless if right now his current actions speak to that he does not seem to care but we've had scenes before where he looked worried for Manjari when she was discovered and felt relieved when she came home)

As for Harsh not trusting Akshu. I'm sorry, I don't buy it. Just like I didn't buy that he was actually concerned for Abhi when he instigated him after the marble kaand. He is just so deeply insecure of Akshu and Abhi's love for her, and his ego is also so huge to add to it all. What about all the times she saved him? Did he conveniently forget the Ruby incident? Or when she saved him from going to jail? As for Manjari's accident... he made a complete mockery out of it & now Aarohi is back at his command... so according to me, he really didn't care about it at all. Yes, he is concerned about Manjari at the end of the day, but for him, his own selfish motives always come first. He turned his own son's wedding into a PR stunt. I don't deny his love for Abhi. We have seen it arise time and time again. But, to me, without respect, there is no love. That is what he needs to learn.

Yeah it is just too vile. He is only going to get worse before he gets any better. My heart breaks for Akshu. I so wish that Abhira would just move out. They can take Manjari and Neil with them. It's just too much.

Never said his reasoning ever made much sense when there has been other things that have been proven otherwise in front of him. Just saying that's the way he see things and his thinking. Which I think we can both agree is completely wrong. No matter how many people tell him otherwise he has already made up his mind. He's written off his wife and he's written off Akshu. He's only using Arohi for his own motives.

He is stubborn and much like Abhi and Arohi they only want to see what they want to see sometimes.

We are getting to get some super toxic Harshvardhan from now on. No more funny one liners from this guy. Manish had every right to be concern with Akshara going over to the Birla Household. Maybe one day things will get so bad Abhi will remember those words that Manish had told him regarding how the Birla elders (HAM) hate his beti Akshara and finally move out of the house.
