What is it with Narmada?! Her character become so weak! I don't understand why she gives into everything easily be it BM's doings or that Sundar's mom! Well its ok to think abt her daughter's future but at least she needs to be strong to face anything and talk at right time and at least listen to Imile and Meeti.

Two things to call out today:

Why is Narmada so desperate to get Arpi married in a week? Why is Sundar the only option? Why is she giving up on BM and now Sundar’s mom? Why is she tolerating Arpi being called Widow in such disgusting manner?

I was not satisfied with Sundar’s response today. She should have been more loud and clear. Clearly he hit a jackpot with Arpita. But he can’t behave dumb like he did today. His response wasn’t satisfactory.

At the time of my marriage, even though my parents insisted so much that they want to give me and husband somethings for new house of both of us, my husband was loud and clear NO. So many discussions but still he didn’t agree to take a penny. He said give 101 Rs to us as your blessings and we are good. I still have high regards for his decision. Sorry for sharing personal story here but all I want to say is DOWRY should be a big NO NO…. Today daughters are equivalent to sons or even better. How will the gender disparity end if we don’t stop these practices? I am glad they touched this topic here in Imlie but would have loved it if Sundar was loud and clear also Arpi clearly should have said NO to it. They should have left Sundar and his Mom to decide if they want to do the wedding without any Dowry rather than the other way round.
