Back to Akshara:

As Arohi’s car neared the accident spot, Arohi saw in horror a man shot Akshara and flew away. She immediately got down from the car and screamed, "AKSHUUUU!!!!" and ran towards her sister lying in a pool of blood.

Arohi looking at the man running screamed in rage, “YOU SCUMBAG!!! YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!!!”

Right now her priority was akshu, With the help of the driver, they picked up Akshara and laid her in the car carefully placing Akshara's head in Aarohi's lap. The doctor in her took the action and immediately called the ambulance and told them to reach the halfway, she can't wait till they arrive there and also they can’t take Akshara all the way to the hospital, her condition is too fragile she needs the treatment immediately, she placed her napkin tightly on her bullet wound to stop the blood flow.

Akshara's breathing got shallow with every breath she was taking it was getting harder for her to catch oxygen and also the unbearable pain in her chest and the head was not helping in such a panic attack Abhi had told her to try singing but now that's not on the option he was not the only one who left her that day her music too he used to say his soul is connected to her voice, he was right the day he abandoned her, music also left her side. Now she was just a living corpse so maybe what is happening now is the best thing that is happening to her.

Akshara looked at her sister whose arms were holding her close to her chest and telling her some breathing techniques to stay alive until they reach the hospital but no voice was reaching her ears. She just looked at her she was crying her heart out pleading with her not to do this, finally, her sister is back the same sister who grew a little distant from her after knowing they were stepsisters and whom she completely lost after Sirat mama and her papa's death. Now she can die in peace her old Aaru was an angel and since she is back she won't need her big sister anymore to make ethical life choices and her Abhi already hates her so he will eventually move on. move on? Nope her death isn't going to make any difference in his life. Aaru will help their family to cope with losing her and she can finally see her parents finally her papa will call her princess Akshu again finally she will be able to see and hug her Naira Mumma and Sirat Mumma.

Akshu thought, "Sirat mama, I kept my promise, I protected Aaru till my last which cost me my heart my Abhi there is nothing else for me to do here, I'm exhausted let me rest in your lap now".

"Aaar...Aaru…", Akshara tried speaking between heavy breathing and controlling the pain.

"After two months Akshara is calling her Aaru. Did she forgive her but no not like this", Arohi thought

"Yes, Akshu! I'm right here! Stay with me we will reach near ambulance in no time", Arohi said holding her tightly as if she wanted to get glued to her.

"Nooo! No bir…Birla hospital" Akshara said

"Fine!!! You relax, whatever you say I won’t take you there promise" Aarohi said her prime focus was to calm Akshara down seeing the symptoms the doctor inside her knew she is badly wounded and already lost a lot of blood and with this panic attack may lead to cardiac arrest she was just praying for the ambulance to show up quickly.

"Aaruuu….My Abhiii should not…not know about…the…the…truth….promise?" Akshara further added it was getting hard for her to utter even a single word.

"Promise!" Aarohi responded She cannot deny her right now and cause more stress once she is fine she will talk her out of this Abhimanyu has to know the truth she thought.

Birla Hospital

Abhimanyu came to his cabin going through the patient's reports followed by an assistant doctor. He was rubbing his head, sometimes his shoulder. He was feeling cold but was still sweating a little.

“Weird” Abhimanyu thought.

“We cannot perform the surgery today. I don’t feel good so it’s better I don’t risk it we can postpone it to tomorrow”, Abhimanyu stated

“Sure Sir you please take rest” the assistant doctor said

“I will be fine! I will be in OPD in some time”, Abhimanyu replied

“Okay, Sir!” the assistant doctor replied and left from there.

“What is wrong with me!”, Abhimanyu sat down thinking never in his life he had to postpone his surgeries no matter how miserable he was in the past two months it never affected his work but today even he couldn’t make out what’s happening. He has checked his blood pressure, pulse rate sometime back all are perfect then what is that which is making him so restless.

Back to Akshara

Akshara knows she is not going to make it every time she gets a panic attack she knows she will fight through it but this time her heart has already given up.

Akshara brought her shivering palm to Aarohi’s face wiping her tears Akshara haven’t talked to her in the last two months no matter how hard she tried. Akshara was angry with her for losing Abhi but more than her it was their timing and destiny which was at fault. She has always protected Arohi from the world and now when it's time to part away, how can she go leaving her with this big guilt, she wants her little sister to know she forgave her.

Aaru held Akshara hand on her cheeks crying, ‘We will reach soon. I won’t let anything happen to you’

Akshara saw some flashes in front of her eyes,

Abhimanyu again got breathless and he was blacked out for a second he blinked his eyes three to four times to adjust his vision. He went to the sink and splashed some cold water on his face. and looked at his reflection thinking, "What's wrong with me! Why am I feeling so restless!"

Akshara's pulse has dropped so low that Aarohi could hardly get any. Her whole body has gone cold

Years back in little Aarohi's lap Sirat breathed her last but that time Akshu was with her though she behaved like a monster with her but whether she liked it or not she stood like a protective shield in her life now when she looked around she is all alone.

1 Month Later

Arohi was gazing at the evening sky with lone tears rolling down her eyes when Mimi entered her room.

Mimi asked, "Aaru I didn't realise you were home just now Suvarna told me"

Arohi handed over all the stuff to the Manager, when Abhimanyu, Manjari and Neil entered all were taken aback they didn't expect this encounter. Abhimanyu kept a straight face moved past her and shaked hand with the Manager as if she didn't exist

"Please give our regards and tell her that kids miss their Akshu Didi a lot". Manager said with a smile.

That was a frame Akshu had for her mother and later he also developed the same love and respect for her.

"Kairav's mother," Abhimanyu said looking at Neil who seemed like he was trying to remember something hearing Naira’s name.

He wanted to laugh out at his destiny out of all the ashrams and orphanages out there his mother had to choose this one, directly or indirectly his life has to get entwined with her.

"Last week some stationaries came from di’s house for our exams, I found it with my other books maybe it came by mistake and Akshu di’s name is written inside. I just read her name nothing else ", the kid explained.

Arohi was gazing at the evening sky with lone tears rolling down her eyes when Mimi entered her room.

Arohi heard the footsteps approaching and immediately wiped her tears.

Mimi asked, "Aaru I didn't realise you were home just now Suvarna told me"

Aaru replied with a smile, "yes Mimi actually there weren't many surgeries today so Dr Anand told me to call it a day".

Mimi got a little uncomfortable talking about Birla, she sat down on the side of the bed took Akshu’s pic from the side table and stroked it lovingly sighing she asked, "do you see him?"

Arohi understood she is talking about Abhimanyu

"yes but he is always on his own doesn't talk to anyone after that Sangeet night I don't recall seeing him even smile to anyone," Aarohi said thinking about Abhimanyu

"Was it true he is getting married to some doctor?", Mimi asked with a dejected face.

"that news was going around for a while but then Abhimanyu refused to get married. There is some tension between him and harsh sir because of that also I'm guessing", Aarohi said

"someday he will after all Akshu is not the reason he is refusing all the alliance", Mimi said

"maybe she is", Aarohi said looking at Mimi

"he hates her and we can't blame him for that given the circumstances," Mimi said

Aarohi said laid her head on Mimi’s lap

she can be doubtful about his hatred towards Akshu but when it comes to her there isn't a second thought and also she deserves it.

"not anymore at this point I just want one thing in fact we all want that, is there any chance that is going to happen?" Aarohi said closing her eyes and swallowing the lumps that formed in her throat.

Mimi just wiped her tears not able to answer her question.

Is bade papa and kairav bhaiya home? Arohi asked sitting straight in the bed.

"Manish is home but Kairav is yet to come" Mimi added

"Okay, I will leave then", with that she took her car keys from the side table drawer.

"you should rest you look exhausted", Mimi said concerned

"No Mimi I'm fine" with that she was above to leave when Mimi further added "This house and the people residing in it have no strength to bear another loss so take care of yourself dear," Mimi said concerned

Arohi just nodded and was moving to the exit when Swarna called her.

"Aaru I have ordered some new stationery and some old unused one from the house has kept in your car will you mind dropping them in the ashram, kids exams are nearing”

"Sure Badi Mumma", Aarohi said and moved towards her car.

In Ashram Office:

Arohi handed over all the stuff to the Manager, when Abhimanyu, Manjari and Neil entered all were taken aback they didn't expect this encounter. Abhimanyu kept a straight face moved past her and shaked hand with the Manager as if she didn't exist

"How are you Arohi?", Manjari asked

"I'm fine aunty", She replied looking down, she didn't make eye contact with her as that guilt inside her is not fully gone.

"How…how are you?" she asked

"I'm good, she said but thinking, "nothing has been good lately" with that she sighed.

"Happy Birthday Maam and that's sweet of you to celebrate your special day with orphans it means a lot to them and to us to have the Birlas here, Manager said

"Thanks for allowing us on such a short notice" Manjari smiled

"Happy Birthday Aunty", Arohi wished hearing the Manager

"Thank you dear", Manjari responded

"You all carry on, I will take a leave", Arohi said politely and Manjari nodded she was above to leave when the manager asked, " ma'am why don’t we see Akshara ma’am nowadays?"

He further added, "last time she was here she was very happy as she was marrying the love of her life"

"Please give our regards and tell her that kids miss their Akshu Didi a lot". Manager said with a smile.

Abhimanyu just pretended to do something on his phone but the Manager’s word was running like an infinite loop in his mind, "last time she was here she was very happy as she was marrying the love of her life", he swallowed the heavy lump that formed oh his throat and reminded himself the reason for all this mess that god damm accident

Arohi just nodded giving a forced smile left from there as soon as she was inside the car she broke down into tears thinking about the Manager’s words, "last time she was here she was very happy as she was marrying the love of her life.

She wiped her tears getting the hold of her emotions and turned on the car driving away.

Manjari said to distract Abhimanyu from the unexpected encounter, "This ashram is well maintained and I have heard a lot about this place you people have secured so many orphan's future thank you again for allowing us to spend some time here with them"

"It's good people like you who motivate us and it was the vision of the founder. Late Naira Goenka, if it wasn't for her this wouldn't have been possible. We are just carrying her vision forward ", the Manager said with a smile.

Abhimanyu very well know who is Naira Goenka! Akshara's mother and how much Akshu adores her mother. She is Akshu’s role model she always used to say how she wants to be like her mother and how much she misses her though Abhimanyu haven’t met Naira but he knew she was a gem of a person. That was a frame Akshu had for her mother and later he also developed the same love and respect for her.

"Kairav's mother," Abhimanyu said looking at Neil who seemed like he was trying to remember something hearing Naira’s name.

He wanted to laugh out at his destiny out of all the ashrams and orphanages out there his mother had to choose this one, directly or indirectly his life has to get entwined with her.

Abhimanyu thinking, "Why Mahadev why, please have some mercy on this devotee"

"Seems like you all know Gonekas very well. In that case, you can come here anytime no need for booking any prior appointment" the Manager said

"No!!!" Abhimanyu protested.

Manager was taken aback by his response Abhimanyu immediately covered up saying, "Actually Dr Arohi works in our hospital so we know them through her we are not that close", Abhimanyu said calmly.

"Okay" Manager said "Anyways I will introduce you all to the kids come and they loved all the gifts you guys send for them", the Manager further added.

While they were heading out of the office they saw a cute little girl standing near the door with a smile clutching the dairy in her arms.

Abhimanyu focused his attention back on the kid and said with a smile, "it's okay you will be fine and about this diary…” he took it from her and saw a personal diary craved on the covers, "how come you have her personal diary?" Abhimanyu asked out of curiosity.

"Last week some stationaries came from di’s house for our exams, I found it with my other books maybe it came by mistake and Akshu di’s name is written inside. I just read her name nothing else ", the kid explained.

"Okaaay…", Abhimanyu replied still not able to register why all these coincidences happen to him.

"So you will give?" the kid asked again

"I will", Abhimanyu replied, kid had a huge smile hearing that and hugged him happily, "Thank you Bhaiya!!! " Abhimanyu smiled and hugged her back.
