From my understanding, this is another defamation trial against Heard herself for claiming she was DV survivor. This one is not connected to the UK trial at all outside of the fact they both are defamation related to domestic violence.All they had to do was prove he hit her and the case was closed. I am not sure why Judge Azcarate would say anything about the UK trial considering that's not in her jurisdiction nor country. The laws are different, I also did not find any article where she stated that he didn't get a fair trial, can you post the article or clip, please.

The UK trial was against The Sun for calling him a "wife beater". The Virginia trial is a defamation case against Heard.

DeppvsNGN was not a case against Heard, but against the newspaper group. If you went thru that diagram I posted above, you'd see why Johnny lost. He was never going to win, given The Sun's position in the UK. I had seen the original appeal trial's live streaming in 2020 and it was obvious "sab khareeda hua hai". The judge had personal connections with the family who owns The Sun. And that diagram shows more connections of why the judgement was biased.

You'll have to read the original UK judgement's documents since media coverage regarding the case was absolutely biased. Depp was being blacklisted, boycotted and called out for being a domestic abuser where it was the other way around.

Justice Nicol did not even allow to use lots of evidence in the UK court to prove that Johnny's innocence and hence, that would prove The Sun being guilty.

And regarding why Judge Azcarate brought up the UK trial is because Amber Heard tried to dismiss the Virginia case based on the UK case. Her argument was that Johnny lost that trial, so whats the need to have another one. But Heard was not the defendant in that case, she was something around the lines of a witness. And it was obvious that Depp didn't get a fair trial then.

I am well aware of the difference in the two trials, that’s why I was questioning you since your initial post stated “The entire point of this trial is that the is that the judge felt Depp didn’t get a fair trial in the UK” -

No where did the Judge Azcarate say UK trial wasn’t fair, Judge Azcarate said and that tweet you posted Heard wasn’t a defendant in the UK trial so same arguments couldn’t hold up. That’s not saying he did not get a fair trial it’s saying it’s different cases lol

I am following this case, I don’t believe following stans on twitter is the best place to find unbiased news either. Like that tweet stating Judge Azcarate said he got “unfair trial in UK” when obviously that’s not what Judge said.

Listening to the court proceedings and the recordings, Amber’s reactions, the way she behaves.. it makes Johnny Depp look like a saint. I wouldn’t be able to tolerate her for more than 2 mins without punching her in the face.Also, she didn’t make payments to the charity. She made Elon Musk pay some and then she didn’t make any payments at all and lied about it. She’s just a fukcing liar.

She did make payments to charity - she donated about 1 million out of her 7 million pledge. She has 10 years to complete her donation. You have to consider she is currently paying for attorneys for this trial and had to pay for the divorce attorney.
Where did it say Elon made the payment can you link to that article? All I’m finding in the news is an email from Elon saying Amber will make payments to ACLU. Nothing proving he made the payment on her behalf, where is her lie in this?

When he was slamming the kitchen cupboards and she claimed to be “scared”. You can actually see her smirk. She is literally enjoying it. I have seen wife beaters IRL and they are nothing like him, they are most likely her. Had he been physically abusive towards her, trust me - it wouldn’t have been the cabinets.. it would have been her. Not to mention, from the cops, to people who worked and lived around her - clearly say they never saw any scars etc on her.. when she claimed she was attacked (including when she called the cops).

I went through most of all of the hours long recordings in court. She freaking records everything, but there isn’t a single one where its shows him hitting her. Generally, victims will have scars/ etc over time due to abuse (Johnny has a severed finger, bruised nose and a burn mark on his face!)

Plus, the money she had to pay charity was already given to her by Johnny. The reason why its being highlighted because she said she would after her divorce is finalised and she still hasn’t paid. Its not like she was paying out of her pocket. There were several other amounts and taxes that she never paid but made Johnny pay. Also, if the divorce happened around 2016, pretty sure she doesn't have 10 more years. But anyways, why cant she directly pay the money that was given to her by Johnny?

I think just follow through the court proceedings, its more than enough. This case is more about clearing his name in the the public's eye. Not about winning. I'm glad he hasn't given up.

Defamation cases are hard to prove and the UK case wasn't open like this one, so we aren't actually sure what transpired because there was hardly any transparency. Lets not forget that at the end of the day it was against a media house - and those are hard. You never know what journalists and media house have to hold it against anyone. They could change the law if they had to save someone or cover up for someone. Smirk can taken in various ways such as “oh shit I cant believe it’s happening” - I was in an abusive relationship sometimes when I recall events I smirk because I cannot believe I put up with such acts. that doesn’t prove that she’s lying, I’m not lying when I tell my story I just feel dumb that I stayed with my ex. Just because you believe that doesn’t make it proof. I am not trying to be rude it’s just that feeling you may have is not valid since we were not present during the act nor are we in Ambers head, it’s a ridiculous assumption.

Abuser and victims are different like each person is different from the other. Just because Depp isn’t like abuser you’ve encountered doesn’t make him less of an abuser. Just like every victim are not like the other, there is no doubt Amber hit back. This is a defamation trial - the question being asked here is did Depp hit her, he has there is proof. There texts messages saying the same, there are recordings of her saying she was scared for her life. There are also recording of her saying she hit him back.

That daily mail article you posted said the same thing, there is no proof that Elon paid the money on her behalf, he just sent an email saying she would.

Like I said before and like the article you posted said, she has paid partly, it’s not that she hasn’t paid at all but she’s having financial difficulties right. Legal fees are expensive, she was dragged back. The daily mail article even said the same thing “for now needs the divorce settlement to pay her legal fees”
