Hello guys, here is Part 4 as promised. I am sorry for the late update. I have a replacement class online the very last minute and couldn't edit it on time. Despite editing, in the end I will find some errors when I am reading it again. So, I apologize for the grammar mistakes. I did correct most of them. I will proofread it again tonight and edit it once I am done with my work and class. Have a good read everyone. Hope you all like where the story is headed. I am sorry for being so slow with it but I don't want to miss even a single thing that happened in the show. I want to tie up every loose end that was left just like that by the makers. PART 4

Neil managed to calm Abhimanyu down before bringing him inside the hospital to see Akshara. The last thing that should happen is for his Bhai to be admitted to the next bed to Akshara. They reached the receptionist and asked for the room number when they saw Vansh walking towards them, holding a few papers and some cash.

“Vansh,” called out Neil while waving his hand.

Vansh looked up from the papers that were in his hands and nodded at them. Abhimanyu and Neil noticed how puffy his eyes were. Abhi could feel more guilt seeping through him. He strode towards Vansh at a fast pace and immediately bombarded him with questions.

Akshu kahan hai?

Who theek toh hai na?

What happened?

Has she got back her consciousness?

Are those her reports?

Can I have a look at them?

“Why are you staring at me?” yelled Abhi when Vansh did not answer him.

“Bhai, how would he answer when you are talking nonstop?” asked Neil.

Abhi went silent and nodded at Vansh to answer his questions. He was getting impatient with every passing minute. He was itching to run towards the wardroom that the receptionist informed a few minutes ago.

“She is stable now, the doctor said. She had a terrible panic attack, probably the worst one out of all that she had previously. The doctor has sedated her to control her. She is resting now. The doctor is now talking to Bade papa and Kairav. I came here to pay the bills and get some medicines," said Vansh answering all of Abhi’s questions.

After hearing Vansh, that’s when Abhimanyu heaved a sigh of relief. He knew the severity of a panic attack and knowing Akshara, it might have been very difficult to control it. He felt so guilty for being the reason behind her panic attack. He has promised her to be her protector and not let any harm come her way and now he is the very reason why she is in a hospital, fighting to take a proper breather. He felt like a failure. All the pent-up anger and frustration was surfacing slowly into Abhi. He needed to take it all out before he loses it and cause some serious damage. But before that, he needs to see his Akshu for himself. He needs to see her and that’s when he would feel lighter.

“I am going to see her Neil, you accompany Vansh to get the meds and pay the bills,” informed Abhi to them.

Neil nodded his head as an approval of the plan and gestured for Vansh to lead the way. Vansh took a step forward before turning around and looking at Abhi.

“I don’t know what happened during the accident, but you should have heard Akshara’s side of the story before dumping all the blame on her. I know my Akshi, she is not that heartless to leave Manjari aunty to die or anyone. Try not to show your anger to her now Abhimanyu, she is very fragile right now. If something happens to her now, I would make sure you won’t be able to see her anymore. I am sorry for what happened to your mother but please keep your anger in check while visiting her,” said Vansh in a stern manner leaving no room for any further argument.

Abhi and Neil were shocked to see Vansh all rigid and stern but they understood. It was his baby sister in a bad condition at the hospital. Although he felt a little angry, he let it slide. He can’t mess it up now or he knows what might lose, his Akshu.

“I won’t do anything, I promise. Akshara meri sab kuch hai. I would end my life even before thinking to put her in harm's way," promised Abhi with utmost sincerity which he plans to keep for the rest of his life.

Vansh studied Abhimanyu’s face a few seconds before nodding his head and leaving with Neil following him. He knew that Akshara is everything to Abhimanyu but the way he reacted toward his baby sister has put him in a lot of distress. He can’t see his Akshi hurt. She means the world to him as he and Kairav grew up keeping her away from any trouble.

Abhi took baby steps towards the room where his Akshu currently resting. He needs to see her before he completely loses his sense. He needs to make sure she is there, alive and breathing. He does not know how she was going to react to seeing him there, to be honest, he is terrified to come face to face. He can tolerate anything but hatred in his eyes for him. It will completely break him.

“Please, Mahadev, I beg you. Please guide me to solve this mess,” pleaded Abhi mentally before reaching the door of her ward.

He was about to push open the door when he saw in his peripheral vision Bade papa and Kairav walk out with someone whom he assumed was the attending physician looking at the coat. He stepped back and turned towards them. He needs to clear everything with them first before heading into Akshu’s room.

Kairav was the first one to notice Abhimanyu. He could feel the anger coursing through his vein but kept it in check because, in the end, the fault was on Akshara’s side as well. He wants to ask him if he was serious about calling off the wedding because he knows it will completely break his Akshu and she would never be able to come out of it. He knew and saw how she suffered when he and Aarohi were about to get married and hell if he would allow anyone to hurt his sister again. Especially not after he knows the whole truth that Akshu told before she had the panic attack. Realizing Kairav was not responding, Bade papa turned to look at him when he saw Abhi.

Bade papa, although hurt and angry that Abhimanyu did not listen to a word that Akshara wanted to say, couldn’t blame him. His mother got hurt because of his very granddaughter. He was stuck between them. He felt extremely bad for the position that Abhimanyu is in right now. He gave a small nod in Abhi’s direction and gestured for him to come over.

Abhi whom saw the anger in Kairav’s eye was relieved when he was called over to them by Bade papa. He knew that Bade papa understood the situation he was in right now. He is being pulled left and right. It is his mother on one side and Akshu on the other side. He felt so thorn at that moment. Nothing was making sense to him. He didn’t even realize when he started crying. He slowly walked toward the three of them.

“Abhi, she is the doctor treating Akshara right now, Dr Sanam,” introduced Abhi to the doctor.

Abhi quickly wiped his tears off and shook hands with the doctor.

“Hi, I am Dr Abhimanyu Birla, Akshara’s fiancé and a cardiologist,” Abhi introduced himself to the doctor.

“Nice to meet you Dr, I am Sanam, handling your fiancé’s case right. She is in a stable condition for now and she would regain consciousness in less than 6 hours,” replied Dr Sanam.

“If you don’t mind, can I have a look at Akshara’s reports, I would like the see the stats and her recovery track," asked Abhi prays that she allows it because he knows it is not ethical. But he wants to keep track of her reports.

"Urm… you are a doctor yourself and know how it works," said Dr Sanam crushing Abhi’s wish.

“But, since you are a senior and you know your ways around, I will let it slide this time,” said Dr Sanam with a small smile and handed over Akshara’s file to Abhimanyu.

“Just don’t let anyone know that I did this favour for you Dr, I might get fired,” joked Dr Sanam making the three of them laugh.

“Don’t worry Dr Sanam, you have my word. Please keep updating me on her status every 3 hours to me,” requested Abhi.

“Sure, I could do that, if I don’t, there would be a nurse on Akshara’s side 24/7, so you can ask her as well. I will inform the nurse so that she will share the reports with you,” reassured Dr Sanam.

“Do you want to take a look at her?” asked Dr Sanam.

Abhimanyu hesitated for a second and looked at Kairav and Bade papa. Bade papa assured him that they had already taken a look at her and urged him to visit her as well. Bade papa knew how desperate was Abhimanyu to enter that room.

Hearing Bade papa, Abhi nodded his head and moved towards the room. He exhaled slowly and pushed open the door and saw his Akshu. His heart immediately broke. His Akshu, in my hospital bed, IV attached to her hand, looking pale and unable to breathe on her own. He hated seeing her like that. It reminded him of the time when she got into the accident and she flat-lined for a whole minute.

He shook his head trying to get that bad incident out of his head and moved towards his angel. She looked peaceful but distressed at the same time. His eyes started welling up thinking about the hurtful words which he threw at her. He remembered her teary eyes when he called her Akshara and not Akshu. How she begged him to her Akshu, not Akshara. He let out a small sob.

“I am sorry Akshu; I will never shout at you. Please come back to me. I didn’t mean to send you the text, you know nah, I can’t live without you, cried Abhi holding Akshara’s hand which was not attached to the IV.

He was sobbing holding her hand when he felt a hand touch his shoulders. He turned to look who was it.

I am gonna try to tie shut all the loopholes left by the makers! The next part will be up tomorrow!
