Ofcourse, she challenged him. And the dhol was all his overflowing joy and passion.
Also I liked how the writers (or Vankar?) had this voice over of Sai saying she never understood the meaning for Sindhoor, Mangalsutra and vows but she proposed to him addressing herself as his Wife, which is very much what Virat felt the whole time. May be it is deliberate or may be not but I liked how she stuck to Virat's desire of being his wife 😆

Except for maybe his silence for putting Harini in orphanage... I like him. I guess he had reasons for that too.. which probably were not explored.
He is the only sane voice, reprimands V where need be, loves Devi inspite of her predicament and supports Sai like anything... Thats a sensible man. 👏

The makers hate SaiRat as well as Neil. They have bad camera angles for all their scenes. It can't be accidental all the time.
