I completely disagree with his actions. But that episode does not state that he will forsake her studies and her career. He was of the mindset that she should balance both responsibilities. But that particular incident was high on his anger and ego. That she was refusing him. If they were in a more cordial state he would have reasoned it out. Also, if this had been for a longer duration than a day or two he wouldn’t have allowed it. For him it was just an exceptional one day that he wanted her to accommodate. While he failed to understand the impact of it on her. He would have if he was open enough to listen to her justifications
