Manjari has come to the mehendi without Abhi. She probably continued her lecture and left the decision onto him. He is probably confused and comes upon some evidence that Akshu wasn't lying by accident. He will arrive to the mehendi and see the cops there, and then I agree -- he might get Aarohi to confess it was her. The other thing is that there is no way this wedding proceeds in terms of the Birlas unless someone else did this accident and they are leaving for Jaipur 1 day after the mehendi per the show's timeline. So, the original PI might make his re-entry with that footage too. That solves both problems. Abhira's problem is that Abhi doesn't trust Akshu is telling the truth, and the Birla's problem is that the sisters did the accident. So, both of these will have to be solved before the wedding can proceed.

As for Akshu taking the blame... I want to watch the episode first, but that SBS segment really broke my heart. But just my initial reaction is that Akshu has already lost hope that Abhi isn't coming to the mehendi. When she sees the cops, she might assume that he also is on board with this decision. I will say that Akshu would have taken the blame and gone to jail for literally anyone on the Goenkas or Birlas. She would have done it even for Harsh, who hates her. That is just who she is. She loves blindly. And when it comes to Aarohi, she has gone against her many times -- she left her stranded at the mandap, she ran to tell Abhi the truth, Ruby track, etc... but it is when Aarohi is in danger, that Akshu collapses out of the guilt of her promise to Sirat. That was emotional abuse done to a kid, and that emotional abuse was built upon throughout her life by Aarohi. It will not go away suddenly in one day.

Character development takes time!!!

Just like Abhi's anger and impulsive rage won't go away over night, Akshu's soft spot for Aarohi, which originates out of guilt and trauma, won't either!!!

Akshu told Abhi the truth about who was driving, and that shows that she chose her relationship over protecting Aarohi when it came down to it. She told him the truth about the accident too (or so she thinks), again showing that she chose her relationship.

But, in the moment, when the cops show up, the poor girl, who was already an emotional wreck, thinking that abhi wasn't coming, lost it! Can we really blame her?? I personally don't think so.

If we extend grace to Abhi's mistakes and when he falters, we should do the same for Akshu.

Anyways, there is wayyyyy more to the story. This track is going to go until next week, so who knows what is to come?? I still think that Aarohi will be losing her medical license, and Akshu will be bashing her at some point during this climax too.
