His character logically makes no sense. Because they know the audience loves his comedy and one liners, so they add those in randomly. But, at the core, he is a toxic husband who abuses his wife. He does love Abhi deeply and that is visible, but he has ruined things for himself by constantly disrespecting the 2 people in the world that his son values more than anyone else.

He loves his ego more than anyone in the world , he has no respect for anyone in front of his ego and his own agendas be it Abhi. He loves him but not beyond himself.

I didn't make it. It's some people on Twitter who are turning it into man vs woman and Akshara choosing her family over Abhimanyu. I don't think he would have got any serious injuries. Plus the precaps of the show are always misleading. As Pooja said, it could be possible that both the parties were cheating.

and honestly even if akshra cheated it was part of the game to in marriages which is done for fun and it is OK.
