With just a day to go for Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's pre-wedding festivities to kick off, prep is underway in full swing at the couple's wedding venue in Mumbai's Bandra. While the couple continue to remain tight-lipped, several people close to the couple have commented on the wedding. One of them was Ranbir's mum Neetu Kapoor who said recently that she would "love to celebrate and say it loud". However, she added, that "kids today are different" and would thus respect Alia and Ranbir's wishes of having a private and intimate wedding with only close friends and family.

From the wedding rituals to the menu and even security arrangements, here’s everything you need to know about Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt’s grand wedding:

Pre-Wedding Functions

Pinkvilla has exclusively learnt that Ranbir and Alia’s wedding festivities will begin on April 13 with a mehendi function. This will be followed by haldi/sangeet on April 14 and baraat on April 15. All the pre-wedding functions, from Mehendi to Sangeet, will take place at RK house in Mumbai's Chembur.

Wedding venue

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be getting married at Vastu, the Barfi actor's residence in Bandra, Mumbai.

Wedding Menu

As per a report of Bollywood Life, Neetu Kapoor has flown in special chefs from Delhi and Lucknow for Ranbir and Alia's wedding. An array of cuisines like Italian, Mexican, Punjabi, Mughalai and more will be available for guests. A special Delhi chat counter too will be there along with biryanis and kebabs. More than 25 vegan and vegetarian dishes will also be available.

Wedding Security

As per a report in AajTak.in, the planning for the security arrangement at Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding has been going on for over a month. The Raazi actress’ brother Rahul Bhatt reportedly told the news portal, “Yusuf Bhai has taken over the security of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's wedding. He has Mumbai's best security force - 9/11 agency. He has been hired for the same. Around 200 bouncers have been called from this agency. 10 boys from my team will also be sent." Rahul also said that drones will be kept as countermeasures and Roving Patrol Officers will be with each guest.

Wedding time

The couple will be tying the knot during the early hours of April 16 between 2 AM to 4 AM. Pinkvilla has learnt that the logic behind choosing this date happens to be Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor’s obsession with the number 8.

Pinkvilla has exclusively learnt that Alia Bhatt will be wearing Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi outfits for her wedding celebrations.

While there were several reports of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor being a part of their respective bachelor parties, latest reports now reveal that these parties might be on hold due to the couple's hectic shooting schedule.

Wedding guests

Ranbir and Alia’s wedding is going to be a starry affair and will reportedly be attended by celebs like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Varun Dhawan, Ayan Mukerji, Zoya Akhtar, Arjun Kapoor, Masaba Gupta, Karan Johar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan etc.

Reception guests

According to media reports, Ranbir and Alia will be hosting a grand reception by the end of April and it will be attended by celebs like Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aditya Chopra, Arjun Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan etc.

Langar at gurudwara

It is also reported that Ranbir and Alia will also be offering langar at a Gurudwara in Mumbai as a wedding ritual. According to media reports, the couple will not be present physically at the Gurudwara. Instead, servings and prayers will be offered on behalf of the married couple.

According to a report published in India Today, Ranbir and Alia are keeping tight-lipped about their wedding and have even asked their team to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Intimate vow ceremony

According to a report published in India Today, Ranbir and Alia might have an intimate vow ceremony in presence of their family and close friends ahead of their traditional Punjabi wedding ceremony.
