In terms of screenplay kd was much better.. There were certain things that looked natural between rono and Emon as a couple.. Over here it's missing badly.. SaiRat are way too platonic.. By wrapping up the time line vanker made it look more stupid.. 🤢

If two people are so much emotionally connected how come they don't want to feel the warmth of love from each other. that's just beyond me.🤢

Don't know who to blame.. Writers, channel or the actors.. They missed many opportunities for confession ..

Right now virat should register that one can't run away from love even if it's hurts you.. Now that he knows Sai is completing her medicine degree he should be shown more restless and blurt his insecurities...Vanker yet again missing the plot line..

That's why leena was much better understanding human emotions..

One more thing which they need to show playing more is the age difference. I see it playing more in KD.

I have seen closely at home how age difference also result in arguments. It doesnt mean the couple are not in love, just that they have whole different perspectives and expectations. 10 year difference is almost a generation change and it plays a big role.

they could write so many light hearted and amusing interactions. :) if only they try.

I don't know if they've changed the writers or anything.

But being a content person and an author I know few things -

Writers need a clear brief on what needs to be portrayed.

Being the creative director it's Vankar's job to be super clear on what needs to be shown. He definitely had something in his mind. But that didn't come across well. Shruthi's track backfired though it was taken from KD.

Issue with Ghum is they mess up multiple plotlines. They bring up everything together and then fumble at resolution and it is natural.

Writers often hit the dead end with certain things. Even creatives do. But that's a part of process. What's important is how you come out of it.

And with the leap, random dialogues and everything else it shows anxiety, rush, and desperation to come back on track / stay on TRPs.

I think the show that ever did justice to multiple plotlines and characters was BV 1.

Also, working as an author and a TV writer are two different things. An author has complete control over what they want to write in their book (maybe Vanku has enjoyed that liberty with Love in Manipal) but teamwork is altogether different. One needs to take feedback from peers and colleagues even if it's a primetime TV show. If that doesn't happen, it reflects on screen.

I haven't seen KD so can't comment on it. But as many have said that Ghum did follow KD prior. It is highly likely that Ghum team had a direction to follow.

It messed up in the middle.

Having said that, even writers don't enjoy much creative freedom, it's mostly the call taken by the producers and the creative director. Writers will develop a script in whichever direction they're told.

I assume there's some intervention now because today's episode was quite above standards.

I don’t know whether to dread or look forward to this scene of sister love. Knowing how they kill the essence to bring in cringe would definitely make it a pathetic scene. But then there will be a epic turn around Beizzati. However the love for the PL always makes the dose proportion really minimal.

The thing is that neither the CD and nor his team understand Bengali.. So they are randomly writing dialogues from the original which often looks misplaced..

Still it was better up until Sai's birthday track.. After that everything went downhill..

Vanker has deviated from the original still missing the crisp with endless loopholes..

Bold: That's one of my biggest complaint.. It was visible till ladakh fight now vanished into the thin air. They can use the same character vision for Virat of SRK "Hum tumhare hai sanam"..How his insecurities led the marriage end was beautifully Shown .

You are right it needs intelligent writing to show marital discord. ..

One thing that is so apparent in Sai and Virat relationship is the 'clinging' she shows towards him that is so specific to her age. That is because, he is not only her husband, romantic interest but also a caretaker/guardian. There is that child like dependency on him. she revels when he gives his full attention to her. Just like she behaves with her father. In couple's language, it translates to She doesnt give him space! 😆. It is so endearing if you look from distance. Virat doesnt get it. He does things in his own way, expecting her to understand. 😊 Like a mature wife.

And much of it was used in the Diwali mission waala interaction between Sai Pakhi.

Just like RK she comes to the room and gives gyaan how V might find another woman because Sai doesn't give him what is expected of a wife.

Except for Shivani listening to it... Most of it was same.

So i dont know whether it would be done again.

Probably they decided to skip Shivani altogether to enhance the conflict.
