Yeah i edited it. I liked whole court room part. So according to your replies DM knows about sairat past. Coming to court room drama, why cant virat & co take a statement regarding sai involvement. How long she was there, howshe helped them. Atleast that vl help sai to prove her innocence na. R else is there any rule, that juvenile are not allowed to appear witness box.

Sai mobile phone is recovered from Nirmalasadan. So their pulkit sai convo, and msgs pulkit sent to sai vl help her to prove her version na.

Yes, DM knows about Sairat past, but will not show it exclusively.

About Sai involvement..the media statement will come later. After the case is over.

Yes, Juveniles are tried by a separate court, they have separate laws.

Yes, Sai's phone proves to be a support, all her calls are on record.

But does that help?

Here the victims are juveniles. But even if the perpetrators are juvenile, they have milder punishment.

In the Nirbhaya case, one of the 6 was a juvenile. He was treated differently. I think he came out in only 3 years. His lawyers did every effort to prove him under 18. His face/name was officially not declared anywhere. same goes for victims too.

the question was whether such a heinous crime can be excused just because the culprit is under 18 (he was said to have inflicted max damage to her)😭

Sagi can correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, you are right. Juveniles, whether victims or perpetrators are treated differently.

I think the Juvenile act was revised in light of Nirbhaya case to include 16 plus as the age, and if the crime is heinous, then the juvenile is tried as an adult.

But if the juvenile is a victim, just a statement to the DM is enough. Of course, in the presence of a witness. This is my understanding.

What ever info that recovered from sai mobile phone may help to strengthen her statement against defence lawyer.
