I will always hope that Arunita's audience is of the passive, appreciative, type. Her songs deserve the attention and respect.

I wonder how it would be to listen to her alone, with the right accompaniment, as she sings Lata/Shreya/Asha/Alka/Arunita in front of an audience who sit tight and appreciate only the high points of her craft with feelings.
I have spent great nights, when some legends sang, and the only sound from the audience were the wah-wah's when a particular intricate passage was masterfully executed. That audience is rarer these days, but thankfully, for me, Kolkata city still has geriatrics like me in numbers who attend such events. I would love to hear Arunita singing melody at a solo night in front of such an audience.

I had heard (Neeraj Kalkar again! ) that PD has a booming voice which is hard to control electronically and Danish anyway is too loud in his rather shrill voice. That may explain the audio issues. The technician at the controls has to be top class to get it just right for the listeners.

Now, Newbie status related :

How was Arunita on stage? Is she stiff? She does look rather reserved compared to the others when we see the videos. Is that the impression you got?

@Bold 2 - Either you sing just tuneful enough- with loud musical instruments to support you - then you can be free and dance around. Or you sing well but without intricacies or nuances - but, when a singer bring these intricacies and nuances in their singing - then they can't afford to be too active on stage. That is why classical and semi classical singers always just sit and perform. Lata always use to just stand and sing on the stage. So it's difficult here for Aru, she just needs different type of setting. That's why Ghatal was the best - she had no pressure, as to what to sing and how to sing.

Incidentally, I think Indian Idol 12 has been removed from Sony Liv website. So, we are now restricted to SET on YT for Aru's idol performances.

This withdrawal is not as in the past. Usually, the show for a season is available for view until the new season starts. At least that has been the case for Idol 10 and 11.

The Idol show is not Sony's own. For their own shows, they achieve all seasons for a long time. For example Super Dancer is available for all 5 seasons! So, this has to do with the licensor I feel. Whether it is Freemantle or Idol Global I don't know. It is possible that this abrupt withdrawal is linked to Idol Marathi / Telegu and its upload?

I feel Aru is not a natural for such stage performances - even Shreya was shy and lost for words when I first saw her on stage. She mostly sang her hits, not getting into any stage connect. She would have been Aru's age, but had already established herself. Maybe 20, not more than that.
So, Arunita will improve on the stage with experience and exposure. But not being a chirpy personality (Shreya is) she will always be better off in the serious kind of musical solo nights. Something like a Lata Tribute night. Me 2 cents!

On a side note, was there a "meet and greet"? (You realize that this has to do with your last para 🤣)

Looking at some insta pics, it seems there were pics with audience in the Hall afterwards. Likely with the VVIP's who bought the expensive front row seats. We decide to leave when the last song started - the audio was deafening and we had a long drive back home.

I will respond with my views on the earlier paragraph keeping in mind the overarching goal 😂
