With two games to go and two semi-final spots up for grabs, the table makes for an interesting read.

⭐️India Women vs South Africa Women⭐️

India Women

India face South Africa in a must-win match to qualify for the ICC Women's World Cup 2022 semifinal.

This is a must-win contest for India as a win here will take them through to the semis while a loss would send them packing!!

The Indian eves are currently placed at the fifth spot in the points table, having won three and lost as many from the six matches they have played.

Even a draw would help their cause as they will be in the top four replacing the West Indies who have a negative net run rate of -0.890.

The Mithali Raj-led side handed a huge 110-run loss to Bangladesh in their last game.

South Africa, on the other hand, have already sealed a semifinal berth and in fact, became the second team to qualify for after the mighty Australians who have been undefeated so far in the tournament.

The Proteas have been on a roll in this World Cup despite not having the services of Dan van Niekerk who was ruled out after suffering a fractured ankle earlier this year.

They have only suffered one loss in the competition, which came against the Aussies by five wickets. South Africa’s last fixture against the West Indies ended in a no-result as rain played spoilsport.

Venue: Hagley Oval, Christchurch

Pitch Report

The Christchurch wicket will offer assistance to both the bowlers and batters and a high-scoring encounter can be expected. In the 16 One Day Internationals that have been played at this venue, the average first innings score is 253. The sides batting first and chasing have gone on to win on an equal number of ocassions. However, with no dew factor in the second innings, the captain winning the toss will be looking to bat first and a total in excess of 270 will be a challenging one.
