Animal would do nothing for the heroine. Imtiaz of course is a major hit and miss. But it's easy to see the reasoning. It's a risk worth taking.

Imtiaz’s movies have better roles for the female lead actors. I am sure it was a tough choice to make but if she chose this over the other, which means she probably saw something better for herself in this.
