Mahima was rude, because she needs to be on top always. She does not want to seem like the Birlas cannot take care of themselves without Manjari. She also has always had a problem with Akshu "interfering" in their family matters, even though Akshu is basically family now and will officially be family very soon. I think Mahima somewhere also feels threatened by Akshu. She wants the "keys" to the house figuratively speaking, and she sees the influence Akshu's pure heart has on people. I think that somewhere deep down, she also senses that Akshu may not be as weak as Manjari, which makes her even more insecure.
I agree that Aarohi did not hit Manjari, but she will surely drag Akshu into this mess somehow. Love your idea of Abhi making her confess!
