So during Akki’s case, she asked Ram - why is he believing others as compared to “apne log” ? So she considered Ram as her “apna” then. Now when she is in Ram’s shoes she is almost doing the same thing. Akki also did a kaand by lying to Ram and giving money to blackmailer. I didn’t see Priya confronting Akki for this foolishness. Just because he is her brother? Aren’t these double standards?
I am not at all defending Ram but just providing another POV here. Both have had their share of mistakes in having these MUs created.
Ram’s mistake is anyways a lot bigger here. And he has behaved like a typical MCP many times but sometimes Priya’s feminism and generalised rant about men is overbearing ( Not this time). Ram’s idiotic logic of why should it matter to Priya and very convenient defensive strategy of waiting for the right time to have Vedu in front of him ( for some unknown pleasure) was just disgusting.
So when both are at fault, I think they should have the ability to understand each other.
Also, in MS’s case Priya is very well aware that when the thing about prawns was revealed, Ram didn’t say anything to Priya and he didn’t sign the annulment papers also. He refused to Vedika outrightly. He became angry when Priya took a harsh decision of helping Shivi elope. He for not once blamed Priya and their relation for this. He wanted to continue it even if Akki and Shivina were not married. So isn’t that reason enough to tell Ram about accident? She has also developed a defensive strategy of “no proof” similar to Ram.
Actually both are afraid of loosing each other and that’s why they are making these excuses. That’s why I want them to have an outburst and move on. NO 20 episodes drama. Because if this drama happens, it will be 80% of Nandu and Mami and 20% of RAYA for 20 episodes. Would you want that? Do you not remember the annulment track?
I agree with you on everything you said here except one thing.
Ram has never been an MCP and his actions have never said he lied to Priya bcz he wanted vedika in front of him in KM. Infact he never wanted vedika under the same roof as Priya and he was the one who kept trying to send back vedika to shashi. He was the one who was pissed when Priya stopped vedika. He said to adi that Priya stopped vedika without talking to him and doesn't know how to handle it now bcz he can't say no to Priya. After that too he asked vedika in clear words when is she leaving. After accident the first thing he did was invite shashi to that he can take vedika away.
After diwali and since raya's first official date after diwali Ram had continuous thought about telling priya the truth but shit happened again and again and they got sidetracked.
1. Priya told him she will leave if she ever thought ram will be to sacrifice his any old relationship due to her. This scared ram even though he wanted to tell her truth.
And he showed guilt about this till his birthday he wanted to tell her but Anjali kaand happened and priya and ram went in opposition.
2.And then ram realised that Priya has a very different perspective about the same things. ( Nazar and nazariya came into play)
3.Then the accident happened and he realised his love for Priya but also realised that Priya is not yet there.
Akshay was proven innocent which got their heads into sync but not their hearts.
And if Priya got to know the truth now she will remove herself from the relationship. ( Making point 1 a reality)
And to get their hearts into sync first he started to woe priya in his way. Which lead to much drama and many MUs.
All these 3 things made him to lie to himself that vedika didn't matter but in reality he just wanted to wait it out untill both of their heads and hearts were in sync.
Ik his way was wrong and his actions might not have been right but he never emotionally cheated on priya.
Vedika was not in his thoughts, conscious or subconscious.
He should have listen to adi and told priya the truth very early on but the fact is the fear of losing priya to his past kept him mum.
And as much as Priya is concerned she has every right to question Ram's actions bcz she was kept in dark for more time than necessary but also she kept a huge truth which can lead to Ram's death
Ram's truth maybe emotionally damaging but a truth which can result in death is much more bigger and bad.
I understand why priya is not revealing it bcz everytime anything happened in last few months by default she and her entire family was insulted and blamed for it and they had to prove their innocence in every matter. And this time she can't find proofs. somewhere this is Ram's fault that she is not telling him the truth, everytime he went directly in attack mode, opposing her. Last time he hurt her mother who she loves the most. And going by the past she is right to not put all her trust in ram.
The second interview showed that Ram is in sync with Priya bcz priya proved herself to him again and again.
But priya is not in sync with ram bcz he has yet to Prove himself to her. He has always expected answers from priya but it's his turn to be answerable to her, to prove himself, his devotion, his honesty, his loyalty. Much like how priya have done.
A lot of people will not agree with me saying I'm being too defensive in Ram's favour. But i cannot oversee his past and his struggle as well.
People feel more for Priya bcz she keeps herself in the perpetual state of unhappiness and in direct contrast with ram.
She shows very little emotions and keep everything tightly closed within. It gets difficult to support ram when his actions can eventually lead to Priya's another heart break.
But every one forgets to notice that Ram has his fair share of struggles too. He is a person who has been continuously neglected, manipulated, living in a illusion, loved deprived, and he has put his trust in wrong people because that was the only option available to him until priya and since priya he is relearning about right and wrong.
And learning is a long process. It doesn't happen instantly. It takes time, patience and a hell lot of mistakes before you are making almost none mistakes.
If we want a real story then we need accept that no one is perfect. We all are so much more receptive to priya's flaws but we keep complaining about ram's. He is as much a flawed and imperfect character like priya.
And I'm watching this show because both ram and priya are so imperfectly impressive.
Every couple goes through things but what makes it important is how they overcome it and grow through it.
I just want them to sort things out on their own without taking shitty advice from others. That's it. They can make mistakes, fight, be angry and still love each other.
