How did Kareena last longer in Bollywood than rani? - Page 2

I’m more concerned on the why. Why has Kareena lasted this long? Kyun?

Let's not pretend that Kareena has more connections than Rani. Rani is pretty much head of Yash Raj and all the films she has done have pretty much been from her husband's production house.

Kareena has the ambition to just not let go. And for this she utilized every trick in the book: working in a youthful movie with younger cast and girls like Veere, doing a multistarer with a hard hitting message that will grab headlines like Udta Punjab; doing the usual super hit movies like Good Newwzz. And yes keeping up on social media.

Because she wanted to, while Rani didn’t care to.

Rani has a very uninteresting personal life with the tackiest fashion sense. Hardly anyone cares whenever she surfaces! Kareena is always one of the most discussed actress. Let's not pretend people suddenly started talking about her after she gave birth. She is always in news.

Rani is still doing movies, and some good female centric roles too. So it’s not that Kareena has lasted longer, it’s just that Kareena is more famous and talked about more, for all the reasons everyone else has mentioned.

I actually think Kareena was always more famous than Rani. Even during the time when Rani was doing big budget films with Khans and had rumors about her personal life all over the gossip mills. Kareena has always had a presence on screen and off it, and everyone knows it too.

Kareen never took break from films

This is the industry where Katrina kaif is more relevant and a bigger star than the two combined..so lets not even bring talent into discussion or else konkona, tabu etc will be huge stars

Kareena has always been more glamorous, she has a much bigger male following which leads to more popularity.. even when kareena was going through a rough career patch and rani was doing really well..she was always wildly popular..

Rani is a great actor, kareena is lazy but can be really good when she wants to be like in Talaash, a movie she shone as bright as Aamir let alone Rani..

So I was a big Rani fan back in the day. There are 2 reasons why Kareena lasted longer

1. She debuted a couple years earlier than KAreena, and so is part of that "older" generation that includes some late 90s actresses.

2. The biggest reason by far - she stagnated herself with only YRF films. I was pretty young then but even I could tell at the time that 2005 onwards, her films seemed very repetitive. Even if she did do different "genres" within the YRF banner, their films overall overlap with each other in terms of vibe, casting, roles, music etc. She got complacent with that, and that's what led to her downfall, and the rise of Kareena, Priyanka, and Katrina in the late 2000s.

So far after marriage Rani is only getting work in Yash raj though she is also talented
